Now I want to keep building them even though I don't need more keyboards for my personal use. My solution is to build keyboards for other people

Product info and photos

The keyboards are 60% versions of vintage Apple M0116 and M0118 keyboards. They are built on plates either cut from original plates (black) or laser cut from 1mm stainless steel (oscillated steel look), and fitted into hand made wooden frames, usually from oil finished oak. I can make them carefully hand wired or with my own etched PCBs. As controller I use either a Teensy++ 2.0 soldered directly to the PCB or a Teensy 2.0 with wires and header connector to the PCB. USB jack is my own very sturdy mini USB board for both Teensy models, or a modified micro or mini USB adapter fitted into the back for the Teensy 2.0. Keycaps can be dyed in either my preset color ways or custom color ways (limited by available/tested dye colors).
