That's probably one of the most beautiful boards I've ever seen. The jelly is so much that it actually hurts.

AkimBRO and I bought ours together for 700 for 2 cases. Yeah, 350 each is still expensive, but 100 dollars less expensive for each if bought together.

Where do you bought it? from the ebay seller from Korea?

Yes. If you message him and ask for a deal on more than 1 case, he will do it. Also, free shipping from Korea. Pretty fast, too. Got them within a week or so.

Detachable cable mod on my 87u 55g. One thing I don't like about Realforce keyboards is the fixed usb cable. So I decided to make it removable. I used a StarTech usb a to mini b 1ft. female cord. I cut the a end off stripped the cable and soldered a header plug that fit ( 2.5mm pin spacing) or the original if you cant find one. The cable was from Tiger Direct but I have seen them on Amazon they are less than five bucks. Now I can change keyboards in seconds.

I have a HHKB Pro2 also which I love for typing but I like the RF 87u 55g for other uses like gaming web browsing and stuff. But I would like to get a HHKB S type and put some 55g domes in it. That would be the ultimate setup for me. I just have to save up. That will be my next project.

does the new case affect the sound and/or feel of the board?

I dampened the sound with some foam inserts, so it's got a nice thock to it. Definitely changes the feel imo. From a plastic case to metal, feels much more dense.

Thanks! I actually traded my white printed caps that came with the board for the black ones. Since I bought white blanks anyway, didn't see the need for white printed

Just got a Type Heaven, swapped out its stock ABS key caps with a set of blue PBT ones I had gotten much earlier, feels good. There is a sound and feel difference between the stock ABS and PBT ones, definitely can hear the difference. Also grabbed a used white HHKB Pro 2 while I was at the mall (met the seller near the mall), so I now have four Topre KB's.....I have a 103UB-55G that's not in the pic. Typing this post with the Type Heaven and it's pretty good, near what my Realforce feels like....except perhaps the Type Heaven has a lighter actuation force.
