The first stage of talks with CD Projekt has concluded. I am now waiting for an assessment from their legal department. Depending on the outcome, we will either proceed, or work on our own visual interpretation of the Witcher Signs, based on the books’ descriptions.

If this is going to be a licensed product, would it not make sense to offer as much compat as possible? Thinking about NorDe specifically, or even Polish (in keeping with the origin of the franchise). This is a very nice colorway, and I think it's a shame to exclude people just because it causes some extra work. Worst case scenario, that particular child kit just doesn't reach MOQ.

Licensed doesn’t mean that CDP will be participating financially. 😉 A kit not making MOQ is a loss for vendors when refunding money. They lose the fees.

Waiting for legal assessment and then we’ll see how we’ll proceed.

Thanks for the reply, was thinking more about it being difficult to potentially make add-on kits in the future if the demand is there.
But then, add-on kits wouldn't require any CDPR trademarks, so I might be on the wrong track.

Just see this as a +1 for international kits

Ahh, 6 months is a very long time to wait. And after that probably 6 months again for the final process before the shipping process starts. It's a tough call.

Maybe add another poll about it with your personal designs? This allows enthusiasts to better assess what the situation entails. The question is also what your personal design will look like, which can be positive or negative for those who has seen the original design and were excited about it.

Personally I'm fine waiting because the original design it's what fans are waiting for
