If I got this correct...

We can get a different pcb (the nerd), but we cant get a plate.
We can get a polycarbonate plate.
Will this polycarbonate plate fit in the kmac's aluminum housing?

Any chance an uncultured swine such as myself could get the plate and pcb assembled with switches through GON?

Why not? ;)
Even though I have made/assembled/tuned HUNDREDs of keyboards for others, I myself don't have a full-tuned Custom Keyboard now.
So Ironical!

Would it be possible to just have the resistors soldered on (of course for an additional cost)? Need this done for 2 PCBs!

Of course, I will add soldering options products too. ;)

I'm designing a 1.5T Polycarb multi-layout Plate for KMAC. ;)
You guys will be able to use ISO layout with your KMACs. If this GB is successful.

Curious why anyone would make a custom plate without the ability to remove switch tops. Is there a negative side of doing that?

Cost of the extra cuts maybe and I've heard a few people say they think the cutouts aren't as stable.

Cost is not an issue. That makes no difference. ;)

Any chance of an alu plate? I just don't really dig PC as a case material.
KMAC :: LZ-GH :: WASD CODE :: WASD v2 :: GH60 :: Alps64 :: JD45 :: IBM Model M :: IBM 4704 "Pingmaster"

In that case, the plate should be 2T /w CNC-machining... that means cost will increase. I think it should be about $55 for 2T Plate.
If the plate does not support multi-layout including ISO, 1.5T will do but, in case it should support all layouts in a single plate design, 2T design is needed = cost increase.

If you do want AL 2T Plate, I will make it. But the Plate will have out line of KMAC1 Plate for compatibility with KMAC1/1.2/2.

Let me know.
