I love it when someone basis their personality around their gender, race, or sexual preference. They are the least self-centered people, and always have something interesting to direct the conversation back to their perceived defining trait.

You need to find yourself a nice feminist wiccan to settle down with :thumb:

How about this one?

Tp4 comprehends the words..  but not the meaning.

Is the interpretation suppose to be literal,  a feminist -witch-like- person is recommended to noisyturtle as replicant prospect?

If so,  how does his prior post illicit such a comment,  and what properties of a feminist witch-like person matches noisyturtle's system requirements.

People blocking intersection in Chicago. Light turns red. There is no where to go - yet people will drive into the intersection, blocking two lanes of traffic or more. Even more frustrating when I am on my bike trying to get around.

This ebay listing.  Specifically the description "not tested but has physical damage see pictures” - there are some nice hi-res pictures but aside from a tiny ding on the corner and usual marks from the clamp I'm not seeing any damage?  My last 5775c was defective so I really should know bettter but it's cheap and I'm weak :-X

I seriously doubt that dude would go for the jump rope things with digital displays in the handles. Why does a jump rope handle thing need a digital display? Amazon's algorithm is trolling me..

it's still fairly warm here (well, warm for KC--we're talking mid to upper 80's in October, when the temps should be averaging in the low to mid 70's), and it's humid. This wouldn't be bad except our AC/Heater combo's motor died over the weekend, meaning we have no cooling, heat or air circulation. So our apartment gets warm, humid and very stale frequently. We only have two fans: the ceiling fan in the dining room, and the oscillating fan in my room. Neither moves much air. The apartment complex has loaned us an industrial fan used for drying carpet--which is okay, because our living room was partially flooded in a storm over the weekend--and it only manages to make the living room more humid. We keep opening the windows and sliding glass doors, but the problem is it keeps raining at least twice a day, so we keep having to close them to prevent the carpet from getting wet again (opening the door didn't cause the initial flood btw--the sliding glass door was closed all weekend). Oh, it's also ragweed season, so my nose is running, my eyes are itchy and I have a congested chest--which the humidity isn't helping. My asthma is also flaring up, making things like taking out the trash very difficult.

The worst part? We have no idea how long this will last. The part they used to temporarily fix the AC a couple of weeks ago had to be taken out of their only replacement unit, and no one saw this coming, not even maintenance. Because most of the apartments still have the old style AC units, they have to order a new one for us, so we're not only out an AC, but if it takes too long we'll end up having to deal with cold weather as well. And it can get very cold very fast in KC--it's not too rare for us to have heat waves in mid September and near freezing temps in mid October, and that's not counting the uncommon but still far from unheard of ice storm in mid to late October.

Nope, was more expecting a P45 (leaving employment tax record) though and haven't got one of them either so could be worse.  All part of the fun of being on probation at a new job!

The only attractive female is the owner's wife and she's very part time and works upstairs, think I saw her four times in the seven weeks I managed to work.  Didn't get any soup :(

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Aye.  I was able to dodge that bullet, but now I am eyeing a $60-$100 plate because I want to use PCB mounted stabs on my Tada68 build.  Better than a $400 case for a keyboard I don't even have I suppose.

Not with my 3 year old i5.  Works fine for a lot of things, but I doubt the CPU could keep up with the video card.

I'll build a new rig when there is a compelling reason to do so, and maybe after spectre/meltdown is properly mitigated.  Until then, I'll suffer through Fallout 4 with my subpar GTX970.

A lady in my office has such terrible breath that I can estimate with surprising accuracy how long she's been talking when I walk in the office door behind her desk.

+ likely poor hygiene (sometimes the body odor overtakes ), smokes cigarettes and drinks coffee all day. Then she wants to be right up next to you when its time to talk

Yea, it's common of dopa disrupted individuals..

Their motivational forward voltage is so high that something like basic hygiene becomes extremely low priority. It also placates their emotional response, so they have significantly less empathy.

Less empathy huh..

Also more impulsivity , repressed prefrontal function.

It's a good reflection on mass culture as a whole, the Yolo attitude...

Drain flies. Mother******* drain flies, everywhere I look. Office says there's nothing they can do about it--problem's in the sewer, apparently. Good news is the office explicitly has said we're not at fault (we're not, this is a plumbing issue, not hygiene). Also, despite what these things feed on, they're not vectors of disease, so that's good. They suggested we pour a mixture of bleach and apple cider vinegar down the drain a few times a week, try to flush the drain out. Ugh....

I never knew what these are called. My parents' house had these really badly fifteen or sixteen years ago. We put bleach down the vents and put fly tape everywhere, but they persisted. They went away eventually though, not sure why.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

I've noticed that my buddy at work has been getting progressively worse breath. We've worked together for five years, but I only noticed it a couple of times until recently. It's basically every day now, and just a couple weeks ago, he transferred to my team part time and sits next to me. I can smell his breath from seven or eight feet away when he's not even facing me or talking. I think it's because he always has a Monster or Dr. Pepper on his desk no matter the time of day.
