GMK Juvenile Galant is a cherry profile keycap set inspired by the character XingQiu of MiHoYo's Genshin Impact, which has been designed collaboratively between Buburoo & Nathan_.

The set takes inspiration from XingQiu’s character appearance and attire. A jacket made up majorily of black, with a subtle blue-grey design and adorned with gold decals, highlighted by a white frilled undershirt.

Why not Hiragana/Katakana sublegends?
The source material/inspiration is Chinese, so why would we use Japanese sublegends?

Why is ISO-UK in the latin alpha’s kit and not base?
Due to the current molds available it made more sense to split these out to allow for aesthetic continuity. We have included an extra tab key in the Alphas so that those who want ISO-UK have enough remaining keycaps to build another Keyboard. It's our attempt at value for money.

"Juvenile Galant" Sounds like the title of one of those independent French films about "young love"..

I think the set would look a LOT better if the whole thing was gold on green, with gold on white accents. As is, is too "busy" and has to many clashing colors hat don't go well together.

I like it! Feel like there should be more blue, as I think when people think of Xingqiu it's probably along the lines of Hydro character/blue haired (at least for me). Will definitely keep an eye on this set

Every time I check this post to look at this set again, I fall more in love with the colours.  I appreciate the UK ISO being catered for by adding the Latin Alphas, nice touch.  I love this set and can't wait to get these.  Well done.

neat set. the white however does seem to jump out and bite the eyes as opposed to feeling a bit more relaxed and composed (which is antithetical to xingqiu's character lol)
might wanna tone down the white to a cream-ish color or figure out something different.

Hey everyone!

It’s been a little while since we’ve given an update and given recent events within the community. This is going to be a case of good news, bad news.

Let’s get the bad news out of the way first of all. As you may or may not be aware, GMK are currently cracking down on sets that could be deemed to infringe on IP, a category our set would fall into. The precedent was set as part of GMK White Wolf in which Andy (GMK’s CEO) made the following comment:

“Due to the growth of the hobby there have been a large spike in projects and ideas being proposed to us. We can't possibly do research on our own and make sure each and every set is original and free from infringements, and have at times struggled with this in the past. Therefore, we are adding a clause to our contracts with the vendors in which we define that it is the vendor's responsibility to check for IP/Copyright violations, and in case of legal action from studios/IP holders that the vendor and designer will be solely responsible for all liabilities and financial damages. After these contracts are in place this should help mitigate this issue from happening down the line.”

More recently GMK Gateway (currently in GB) has had its entire novelties kit pulled and re-worked to remove IP infringement, and GMK Kouhai has had it’s novelties kit removed entirely by way of designer decision regarding potential IP infringement.

So how does this affect our set? Much like GMK Kouhai we stand at a crossroad and are required to make some choice decisions. Our options currently are as follows:

If we are to drop the novelty kits we are inclined to drop the entire project. Therefore, we are currently leaning towards option 2.


With all that out of the way let’s talk about the good news.

I’ll be looking to announce the vendors and collabs in a separate update within the next few weeks!

Lastly, we just want to thank you all for having an interest in this set! These are setbacks in some respects but opportunities in others and we want to ensure that we can get the best possible product out to everyone!

Hi everyone,

Nathan_ and I have been discussing where to take the set at the moment and we've come to the conclusion that we should look to getting a licence agreement before we go any further with it. Therefore we'll be putting the project on hold whilst we look into that.

We had managed to agree most of our vendors and had some cool collabs planned but at this point the timelines don't match up with getting a licence agreement and, without it, we are working at too much risk. I hope that those of you who were interested in this set understand and we hope that we'll be able to give you some good news soon.

Please keep your eyes peeled for future projects from both Nathan_ and I :)
