Hi guys
Decided I should introduce myself as seems to be the custom around here.
Found out about the Model M keyboard and geekhack.org from ESR (
http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=45095.msg939931#msg939931) via his blog a few months ago... suddenly I blinked and now swimming in a sea of bubblewrap and loud keyboards. On top of that, I think my wife might think I've gone mad. Perhaps the only reason I'm not committed right now is that I gave her one and she loves it too.
As is my nature I keep taking these boards apart and putting them back together again, hopefully in better shape than when I found it. My only regret so far was removing the spacebar from my Model F XT. Dissecting that monster and getting back together is no joke. Tip for other noobs: don't remove the spacebar.
I had a few bytes burning a hole in my Paypal account, so I just ordered this:
