Definitely in. Should I be worried that my payment status is not reflected on the Google sheets ? I guess not, I'm assuming most people have paid by now, and the Google sheet is just not updated yet...

In the mail with the invoice he asked to reply him any possible changes on your order. I’m pretty sure he will do the same, if you are on the waitlist and get a spot.

Alright some of you people who paid and are asking for refunds, please don't be ****s about it. Note that Shopify takes a cut and we can not refund the portion even if I wanted to.

I've pushed some people up the list, check your emails. We have 8 people dropping out/cancelling or refunding/whatever the reason is. I'm adding 5 more from the list and no more.

You should probably set an end date for all cancellations/changes... I believe everyone's had more than enough time to mull this over... minds are fickle I suppose

Sad to hear that the payments are such a hassle, especially after the whole Shopify issues as well!
Hope everyone pays up quickly and we can have a nice GB experience after that!

I am no longer part of this GB because Beaming unilaterally decided to drop me despite my objections.  This is really disappointing to me since I have been an avid fan of KIRA design and have been looking forward to the perfect trio of KIRAs since I've been fortunate to be selected in all three KIRA60, KIRA EXS and KIRA80 raffles.
I wanted to share what happend since I believe there is relevant info for the participants of this GB.

This unpleasant experience started right before the flurry of invoices were sent out.
Beaming contacted me via PM asking
"Given that you've previously requested for a partial refund during one of our buys and the history of the whole KIRA60 thing. Are you completely ok with possible small defects that do turn up on the boards? Please let me know as soon as possible."

I replied back asking to clarify what he means and that there is no need to worry unless there will be serious defects like those turned up on my KIRA60.

Subsequently, Beaming sent this message
"I am Caleb. For the KIRA60 we did not receive other complaints. I think for the sake of all of us, can I suggest that you do not join the GB?"

I replied with my objection and asked to put the non-sense behind and move forward.

Few days later I discovered that I'm no longer on the list.
I also briefly looked into Beaming's claim that there was no other complaint.
Without going into detail, it was pretty easy to find a fed up participant in his past GB. That person (reputable guy in the local keyboarding commnunity) told me his complaints were simply ignored and that drove him crazy.

Here is the defects on my KIRA60 for your reference so you know that I did not make frivolous claims.

Take this post with a grain of salt since it represents one person's experience.
Based on my first person experience though--having received a defective product, having dealt punitive response for reporting a legit defect claim--I no longer have confidence that I will receive quality product or good GB experience from Beaming.
So, despite the disappointment of getting abruptly dropped and giving up the dream of the perfect KIRA trio, I'm actually little relieved.

I shared what's going on with some acquaintances who happened to be participants in this GB, and they asked how to deal with the risks knowing what happened to me and that other fed up guy.
I asked around and the best tip I got was to ask the GB runner to specify the quality standards and servicing policy.  I would encourage the remaining participants to ask Beaming to clarify what constitutes defects--surely you are not "completely ok with possible small defects that do turn up on the boards" if they mean dents and ano defects.  Ask Beaming to confirm that he will answer inquiries regarding defects and provide servicing to them.

Lastly, I'll be selling my defective KIRA60 and sell my spot on KIRA EXS, so if you are interested, pls PM me.

2 little dents and a couple ano spots makes your keyboard defective? A lot of people seem to forget that a keyboard is a tool and not a piece of art. I understand wanting things as close to perfect as possible, but once a keyboard is in shipping, there's very little a seller can do.

TBH, I don't blame beaming at all for not wanting to do deal with complaints like that.

Considering the amount of money spent I don't think it's unfair for him to raise complaints about it. That's like saying when I buy a car and the sales person asks me if its cool that it just has a few dents and some scratched paint. It's just a tool to get you to point A and B right?

I'm not clear when/where the defects happened but if it came from shipping damaged that's completely on the seller for not packing things properly. Not the buyer's fault.

It's a valid complaint, I would've said something myself. It really doesn't look like shipping damage which means it passed beamings QC

It's not perfect, but I was told you were given a significant amount of refund for this "defective" keyboard that you are now planning to sell. I advised beamingrobot against doing this group buy even before he launched it, and because of this I will advise the same again.

Pretty amusing that you only shared this when you were taken out of the TKL buy. A cancellation will not affect me personally, only those who wanted the board. What we get in return is not worth the hassle of doing it, even more so for beamingrobot since he handles everything about the group buys.

this, i was gonna say it but i didnt want to. you got refunded you should be happy imo, i mean he gave you the option to wait and have it fixed you opted not to. if you caused problems previously i wouldnt expect him to want to deal with it again. just my thoughts but whatever i dont want one sour apple to **** me getting this board lol

One persons experience shouldn’t ruin this gb. There are FAR WORSE buys and cases out there and one little kira60 doesn’t dictate beaming’s ability to deliver quality. To be fair, we haven’t seen the exs, but kira60 went fine and I’m positive the exs gb will be just as good. Anyways, hopefully beaming doesn’t decide to chance this over one rotten egg, but understandable if he does :-[

If there is restitution provided in the first place I don't why it would be an issue. Just because he didn't get into the buy he wants to bring down the whole GB.
Bravo, some slow claps from me.
