I like! Would there be anyway to get the F row to reach all the way to the last row beneath? Either with a logo like you mentioned or an extra key and slide the F row over to the left to make it fit

Agreed on an extra top right key in the Type 2, unless you're using that space as part of the visual massing?
Looks great. Really like the colour selection. For the weight in the pad you could maybe do half a slice of orange. Might look pretty nice.
like the second ones a bit more
but the colors are great
Prefer 2nd type. Would you consider doing this without a weight?

I've considered that as well but I can't imagine what keycap should be put there behind F12. Maybe a novelty?
Another option is to place a small round namplate there. Also, leaving it empty is not that bad to me tbh.
Will you also be addressing the problem with the bottom piece's interior not deep enough (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=90353.msg2512236#msg2512236) and might cause shorting?
I have one and I use it for power/sleep. Also novelty show-off is not a bad use. Can also be used to switch layers.
The last three colors are super nice. Do you have a price in mind you're aiming for? Closer to the orange TKL or the time TKL?
call the pad the clementine
Idk clementine sounds cutercall the pad the clementine
or mandarin
Glad to see your next project and it's another Orange!
I am in this too definitely, even though what I want more is Orange 80%.
Between the options I love type2 - separated F rows. :thumb:
The top w/o the nameplate looks a bit off with the empty space in the upper left corner. Maybe add indicator lights, orange logo or maybe just a key? Also would love to see usb-c pcb. Really liking the design otherwise.
Will definitely get a pad to match my pizza80, it's good to see you back Senter!
A numpad without the logo would be appreciated
Another vote for the 2nd type with separated f row keys.
This looks awesome! I got an Orange 80 and it's my primary keyboard, love it. Already setting funds aside for this. I know it's still really early, but do you have any idea if pricing will be around (or less) than the Orange 80?
I'm liking it, could we see a profile view of the case??
have you tried a symmetrical top, (add another key on top right, make gaps equal) i like the missing key but makes me think "910"
I don't worry about the functionality about the one key behind F12. I actually worry more about the keysets' compatibility. For example if I put GMK 9009 on this board, which cap should I put there? Will it look nice? I'm sure there will be many good looking combinations with novelties or artisans but I hope the board won't narrow down the keyset choices.
Really like this assuming a price tag around 250ish and ability to get it san's numbpad... and I would sign up. I loved the TKL Time board but the price just did me in! Going from the high 300's to 500+ was just to big a leap... Hopefully a 75% stay's more affordable.
I like this design. It's simple.Show Image(https://i.imgur.com/Q8hOZ6G.jpg)
One more render with indicators on the top right corner.
Totally dig the design but, for some reason I love a separator between the last row and the enter row. When they are conjoined like this I have a tendency to miss the backspace/enter and hit page up and down. Overall like the direction here though, kudos!
when open to buy?
翻译过来就是“啥时候开”?
Very nice design!
Hope the numpad logo is a bit smaller or subtle.
Looking forward to seeing final colors and pricing.
Are you based in DC?
I'm more of a 66% guy myself, but that numpad looks tempting.
The numpad looks a bit unbalanced with all that empty space on the top. What about having a full row of 4 keys, instead of the single key at the top? Would be useful for macro keys etc.
The all brass numpad sounds very interesting!
did we ever get any info on if they be a bundle buy only or if they could be gotten independently? Also I wouldn't mind seeing some other color options. Those colors are nice but been hankering for a more deep saturated colors .... thought that white with orange/brass plate would be very very tempting or maybe reversed orange with white plate...
Very nice design!

northern VA actually
Will there be any way to angle this board?
Made an account just to post on this thread. I love it. I love there's a matching numpad so you can buy the whole set and it'll look good. Also last gb was on 290 which is pretty awesome to say the least.
But i have a few questions :
Will this round come with the suitcase as well? First round was AWESOME and it's literally half the reason i wanna join in. The other half is the matching numpad.
Also, can we get an acrylic diffuser? It's top and bottom so with the right rgb when soldering,i think we could do it right?
And last thing, you said on the previous GB post that it didnt have numbers : ''We didn't print numbers on the nameplate of founder editions. They were printed Orange in place. We didn't make it right because the technician was tired with the tons of options of small order. ''
Does that mean on this GB, could get a small plate on the bottom of the keyboard to state the number of the keyboard e.g. 23/50? And add the orange on the numpad. I think that would be PRETTY good but again, might add up to the whole cost. I'll probably join unless the price is to huge in comparison to the previous GB. Damn, this looks so exciting. Especially when letting the community decide.
I know QMK PCBs are easy to add but this is not QMKWhat firmware will you be using?

Orange80 adopted Bootmapper.
Orange75 and pad might be as well.
Can we atleast make a vote for QMK or bootmapper PCB? I really want the PCB to be powered by QMK+1 for qmk
Can we atleast make a vote for QMK or bootmapper PCB? I really want the PCB to be powered by QMK
Best reason for me personally about QMK over bootmapper is RGB control and click vs press and hold programming of keys. Otherwise no difference for me. If no underglow, not really a huge reason for qmk especially if it cuts cost. Can we atleast make a vote for QMK or bootmapper PCB? I really want the PCB to be powered by QMK
why not both?
For 40% keyboards I'll only use QMK. For keyboards larger than 60% I think the difference is not huge.
I'd like to provide both anyway.

I guess not too many people want the numpad but I'd like to provide it to those who need it.
Hi Senter - I was one of the buyers of the first Orange 80 TKL, and am really happy you are working on 75% kit also!
I have read your comments on design decisions to keep F-row separated and staggered and that you don't want it to be symmetrical. However, one of the main reasons I like 75% and 80% layouts is because I use nav keys and DELETE a lot on daily basis. The Delete key on the top right corner is one of the main reasons I prefer 75% as my main layout, and with that space being left empty for indicators/badge/empty space it is a deal-breaker for me, and I will have to pass. This makes me sad because I would love to have another Orange, and the first GB you did went so smoothly and quickly with relatively few issues. If there is any way for you to consider a design for top plate that will allow for top right corner key, I am 99% in.
I know that you had too many design options for the original Orange 80 GB, with small blocker, large blocker, and no blockers with many anodization and name plate options, and that caused some trouble and you want to keep things simpler. Is there any way you would consider multiple options for top plate/case with one for a Delete key, and one with indicators/blank space? It could be same PCB design but only require different top case design option. EDIT: If you shifted the F-row blocks to the left by .25/.5u, I would suggest maybe doing a matching metal blocker/badge that could fit in the space for the delete key if not used, and if user wanted delete key they would leave off the blocker/badge. (ex: https://imgur.com/a/W3001)
I would also suggest keeping the design from Orange 80 and give option to have name/engraved accent badge on top left corner. I think this gives a really nice option to completely personalize and gives consistency to the Orange design "family". Maybe also consider the same on numpad.
Personally I like it that there is no extra key on the far top right and there is more bezel :).Hi Senter - I was one of the buyers of the first Orange 80 TKL, and am really happy you are working on 75% kit also!

Hi Zuology, thanks for your suggestions. I remember everyone's id in Orange TKL group buy. I really appreciate your support for Orange TKL and now the opinions on Orange75.
You have read my comments so you know I have my reasons to keep the layout as is. There are several 75% keyboard projects out there and most of them have that key on top right corner. To be honest, I'm not doing it differently in purpose. I've considered many layouts (http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/#/gists/4838cb0c8a5865d777d3f95a51a9c323) and the current two layouts are the ones I love most. The original plan was to provide both of them. As very few people showed interests in layout 1, the current plan is to only provide type 2. The more I look at type 2, I love it more. I will provide type 2 for sure.
As I mentioned, there are several other 75% keyboards are in the IC stage (SKBXX, SINGA, and Xeno) and they all have a top right key. I'm mostly interested in exploring more options and increasing the diversity, so I'm not interested in making a same layout as theirs. I suggest you to support their projects if you want a 75% keyboard and you need that key.
I'm planing to use orange75 as my new daily driver. For me, F12 is in the perfect position since I always bind my terminal window to F12. I won't set the right 4 keys as home, end, pgup, and pgdn. I may set the top right key to Delete and the below three keys as 'display all windows', 'change to left workspace', and 'change to the right workspace'. You can also have a Delete key if you do it in a similar manner.
I will consider your suggestion on the badge.
Fox I had a suggestion for the layout and design on Design 2. I noticed that it would have a single cap locks LED from what you linked. I would like to see a Cap, Scrolls, lock LED at least. I would suggest perhaps stacking the LED's Vertically on the Brazil next to the F-Key's or perhaps placing them on the blocker down by the function row key's at the bottom. I think they could look very stylish at the bottom but not sure if this would add cost. Its just a suggestion

Great looking keyboard and keypad combo.
What cable are you planing to use to connect the keyboard and keypad? TRRS or something else?

Fan of the original orange and it looks great as a 75. For what it's worth I like the designs with the plate around the led indicators, they stand out.
Also have you considered the matt finish for the other colours? Would look great if doable...

what do you mean by matt finish? MAO or powder coating?
MAO like the white finish on the original is what I was thinking. No idea if colours are actually available with that technique though!
- Pink
- baby blue
- light green
- light pink
- snow white
- coffee
- rose gold
- orange
- bright brass
These are the colors we're considering.
would rose gold, light pink, pink be a bit similar? Also you might want to add some more mainstream colors in like black and silver.. given I want a custom color my self but I just know some people prefer black and silver.

The first pink was a typo. There will be only one light pink. We'll compare the color samples between light pink and rose gold.
Mainstream colors are a lot. There is always a trade-off between new colors and mainstream colors. Otherwise we need to deal with too many colors for limited orders. It's really a hard decision for me on deciding the colors. As for silver and black, I prefer to choose black. The black Orange TKL looks nice imo.
When is the start of GB?
I can't wait.

Hey can you give us a idea of price then? Sounds like we are with in a week of release.. at this point. I know personally on the fence between this and the TKL CTRL from Massdrop. I gotta say if this is affordable I prefer it over the CTRL but if its going to be like 350-500 for the 75% keyboard Only ((Not interested in the keypad)) then I stick with the CTRL. I just can't make that big of a investment/leap at this time. I could most likely do 250ish.
all aluminum version of Orange75 will be $270 with a vendor's backing. It's just 10 bucks less than Orange TKL but there's already a cost from the vendor included in the price.
shipping is not included in the price. International shipping will be charge separately in case some people don't read or don't do the math.

Do you think this color will go well with SA Abyss?
Senter will it stil be flat without holes for third-party cone feet/risers?
Spacebar stabilizer look like plate mount only? PCB mount stabs compatible?
Ah, so that is why it looks weird. Nice compatibility!Spacebar stabilizer look like plate mount only? PCB mount stabs compatible?
We're using the "Cherry+costar stabilizer" cutouts on swillkb (http://builder-docs.swillkb.com/features/#stabilizer-type). The cutouts support cherry pcb mount, cherry plate mount, and costar mount. Cherry plate mount won't fit very well.
I second removing the "FOX" branding on the Numpad, it's a quite edgy font that clashes with the cute aesthetic of the rest of the Numpad.Yes!

I'd want a full row of keys on the top of the numpad instead of just a single key, but realize that this would affect the design a lot.
Something like this

Looks great, will they be sold seperately? When are you coming out with a 60~% design
My god, that finish is gorgeous. Is that a render or an actual sample?
wow that's shiny! Looks more like a showpiece (and fingerprint magnet) than a usable keyboard.
so much bling... how heavy are the full brass versions?
so much bling... how heavy are the full brass versions?
The numpad is 1.6kg/3.5lbs. We didn't make prototypes for the 75 version.
Senter will you release the picture for supported layout anytime soon?
That numpad looks crazy good. Got any ideas of what it will cost?
I might have to get one brass for show/display, and a regular alu one for actual use.
Looks like it is already launched in the Chinese store at zfrontier, any idea when this will launch on the English version of zfrontier or other places are you launching with?
guys calm down!! nothing to worry about I don't think. if not mistaken Orange TKL and Timeless both launched with limited runs in the Chinese market before going live world wide. If I am not mistaken they where limited to like 50/25 last time. This makes since if I am right that they have a limited run then do the full group buy.

You are right. GB will be launched on zFrontier's international site in two days or so. I hope so :)

Does anyone know if any of the PCBs used will be hot swappable?
Will definitely get a pad to match my pizza80, it's good to see you back Senter!
A numpad without the logo would be appreciated
Thanks Simon. It was CNY and I was in a car accident. now I'm back :D
I'm not satisfied with the current numpad design. Without a logo, do you think 4 top macro keys look good?
no the keyboard won't be hot swap but requiring soldering skills.
any photos of the PCB?
any photos of the PCB?
Lookin' really good! How heavy will the Orange75 be?
