Hi I would like to experiment with plate materials. Could I get the plate file?

Plate file attached to this post.

Looking at how fast the Austin R2 sold out, will there be a remote chance for a second run on this?  ;D

Lots of others have come and gone, but this has been my daily driver since receiving it nearly two years ago. Plenty of room on my desk for more than one!

7 people expressed interest for the PCB, should be doable but more expensive than normal.

edit:
just checked and it looks like I can use a Type C connector for a new PCB.

Sorry for the lack of updates on the PCBs, I will try to have them made within a month or two. I will also ask a favor from a vendor to assist in shipping them out, I'll let you guys know when I have more details.

I'm also interested in the new type-C PCB. I would probably get two when GB goes live.

Yep current plan is for Type C, and I have reached an agreement with a vendor to handle the PCB design and a new board that uses it. Also note that a new Type C connector will look weird in the cutout, since the cutout isn't that pretty to begin with.

Will the connector be a bit recessed this time? The cable shielding sticks out a bit right now

Yes since this time I'm working more closely with the PCB designer. I wasn't talking directly with the original PCB designer so there were gaps in communication.

I guess it’s a good time to grab another PCB. My current PCB seems to have suddenly lost its mind and of its own accord types “37ujn” over and over just like in The Shining.

Extra strange since it’s worked fine for a couple of years. I’ll check for shorts but unsure how this could have developed on its own.

I'll just use this thread to give an update, the PCB design is being finalized since I haven't finished the new case (almost done!). The layout will feature spacers along the F-row with support for the EXS layout. Same light indicators, same overall layout, Type C connector.

Here's the progress so far:

PCB, this is an old model the indicator lights have been added.

New kit, vendor requested gasket o-ring mount.

Are you going with a different manufacturer for EXS round 2?  I still miss my round 1 kit, wish it had worked out differently.  It was a beautiful board design.

I don't think it will be called EXS R2 (I think it will be called Yark), but the PCB will be compatible with EXS R1.

Any update on when this will tentatively get released or a new IC? And will this be limited quantity like last time or is it possible to do it unlimited?

Has there been any progress on this? Would love to be able to use my EXS again but I need a new PCB.
