I am not sure... You might need to find alps caps that have the Cherry style insert for those, or try using costar stabilizers. I am not sure if either will work, but I am quite certain regular alps caps with Cherry stabs won't

Some people dig this look. I'm not really sure, to be honest. I think I like black on black on black a bit more.

I like very dark keys, but that contrast between black case and greyish keys is awsome. Would not have been just as nice if they were whiter. Once again, really nice setup.

Thanks. ctrlX. Yeah, the AT101 alphas are more of an off-white beige color rather than a white, so there's no popping contrast there. It does give the board this kind of classy retro vintage look, but I do also prefer black. Thanks again for the compliments on my setup. I'm glad I can make it work, haha.

I have a pcb and steel plate

however the pcb is not in the best condition. I bought it off another user and some pads are kinda iffy

Actually they are largely interchangeable, the only thing that doesn't work between the two is the V1 plate, which doesn't fit in the V2 top. The LEDs are in different spots between V1 and V2 but if you just care about something to type on, they work fine.

Yep, this is true.

The only issue you'd have with a v1 top is if you are using the standalone indicator lights that the v2 offers. Those won't be compatible. I traded Ika for a v1 top because the Alps PCB doesn't use those indicators at all.

The lightness of the flat acrylic bottom is something to be proud of. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of the bottoms.

Not quite. The spec matches however the spacebar is flipped on the NerD TKL (I'm actually building my Orion v2 with that PCB). You'll have to modify the plate for spacebar Stabilizer clearance. GON has a video of plate modification on his site, too.

Crosspost!

Just upgraded my Orion's plate to carbon fiber with a special touch.

I have one more plate that I plan on using for my Mira prototype and then the steel plate from the Orion will go into another TKL I build with an Alphas PCB in the future. My two babies with hotswappable PCBs will have the carbon.
