Zealencios ping
« on: Wed, 03 May 2017, 14:18:31 »
I installed some zealencios last night and have noticed a high pitch ping every time my finger even touches a keycap. Is there a way I can avoid this or is this just an effect Zealencios have? I'm using GMK keycaps.

Lubing is the best way to quiet down the ping.

Had to make another account as I miffed up my username. Why would lubing help when i don't get the ping without the zealencios installed?

I laughed so f hard reading the title. Now even zealencios ping. oh boy I'm having too much fun.
I wonder if summer 2017 is going to be the 'summer of ping 2.0 the vendetta'. That sounds like a blast.

BTW OP, I recommend dampening material under the case and between the case and the metal plate. If your metal plate want to collaborate it will quieten down. Good luck o7

I think it's more a case of the keys are so quiet with Zealencios that the loudest part of the switch becomes that metal leaf.
I'm experiencing similar issues with my earlier generation Zealios.
Lubrication helps somewhat.
