Ergodox keycap set options
« on: Tue, 29 October 2013, 12:03:39 »
With the European ErgoDox PCB & case group buy coming I was wondering what options we have as for keycaps for this keyboard.
There's currently the Round 5 "Honey" group buy on DT with a full ErgoDox kit for $59.
I like SPH, but I'm not sure I would like the high profile on the ErgoDox. I was thinking that DSA would be great, but I don't think there are any options currently available.
What are you using on your ErgoDox?
GH60 rev. B w/ ali's case|Cherry G80-3000 HFU/05|IBM Model M (51G8572)

I'm using the blank DSA bought via Massdrop. It's fine, but I wish it was thicker and not so tight.

^^ I wonder if those DSA caps were made with the bad tooling or whatever the problem was they were having that made the DSA extra tight

It's explained in SP's FAQ. They make them tight on purpose, because their clients demand it—to increase "durability" of industrial keyboards.

I've seen that but I was addressing the issues discovered in this thread

I don't have any keys with more stems on my ergodox, if it's what you mean.

Penumbra is not currently slated to have an ErgoDox version (but I wish it did). BunnyLake said "no ergodox plans, simply hasnt been the demand, that being said, i will happily add it to the order if enough people pm me saying they will order it"

So, if you want ErgoDox Penumbra (I do!!!) then PM BunnyLake and say so!
