No meaningful updates for now - factories are off for a couple of days due to labour day. Also I have seen canoe ano pictures, that would means tai chi would be really really soon.

While I agree the blue is gorgeous, I ordered red and am not super happy with how it turned out. The sample red was less saturated and less orange. Red Samurai isn't going to look as great as I'd hope on this...

Will be removing the keyboard bag as the odd shape will not be fitting on them well without much protection. Had a discussion with Eve earlier, and we both are in consensus that a foam box packaging will be much much safer to ship the keyboard in one piece to your hands (learning that zf just shipped the keyboard in bag plus bubblewrap for kira80).

I have amended and updated accordingly to replace bag to a more sturdy foam box for the sake of the groupbuy.

If you managed to find someone that does, I'm okay to swap it. In my opinion, red was closely matched, it is simply not realistic to 100% match anodised metal against a colour on a pantone sheet of paper.

Edit: a close friend of mine told me the proto red was different versus the colour swap posted for this GB. Will talk to Eve on this.

I purchased based on this prototype. It's very rare that I like a red color, which is why I decided on this. The produced color is very different and I don't really have interest for it.

I have spoken to Eve, he is willing to change the tone of the red if not satisfied. Give me time to collate all red buyers orders on their preference and I will rework accordingly.

Got the red orders sorted out. Still waiting for the white boards. If there is any news I will immediately post them. Meanwhile, I am still very much contact able here and in discord. Major updates

[1] Titanium logo
Still under CNC, but finishing soon. Just left the last procedure to cut it out of the block and perform finishing.



[2] White coating
Still under coating for some of the boards, unlike anodizing, manual coating takes significantly longer time. This issue is further exacerbated from the backlog of Canoe keyboards. Things are moving, so rest assure.













[3] Dark Red boards
I have checked with Eve, the dark red ano colour was poured away some time back early in the proto phase and would not be possible to re ano them again to the proto red colour.

I will reach out to those affected soonest for a resolution.

Here is the new red that was used.



[4] Shipping
I am targeting end of June to make shipping happen but subjected to QC checks and making sure all is good to go before this happens. The shipping deadline is subjected to other exigencies to ensure the delivered keyboard meets my standards.

But, just to clarify- Eve told you they could re-anodize back to the prototype color, and you gave them the go-ahead on that. Then, after they realized they couldn't, they re-anodized it anyway to yet another different red without further coordination? That seems unprofessional on their part.

To all, there seems to be some PVD imperfection on the brass logo. Spoken to Eve, pending them to rework some of them failing QC. All the parts are completed pending shipping, however I would rather wait a fair bit to make sure all things are good before it is shipped.

Apologies for the delays, I am still in full communication with Eve to make things right.

There was a delay pertaining to working on some units with blemished around the logo area, basically re-sand blasting + ano again for those cases.
The China GB side are starting to be delivered. Eve confirmed with me that they are packaging and weighing the boxes, and will let me know how much shipping fees to collect from you soon.
