Ikea desks are good for tall people (as someone who shares your height.) They don't make the Gallant style anymore, the A-Frame legs are gone, but the T legs are almost as good, and certainly cheap enough.

Why so rough? There's a lot of us who don't judge. And with every setup - you have to start somewhere. Your's nice but there's still a lot of things you could improve if you wanted/need that. Like speakers or a nice pair of headphones.

But all in all, it's cool and minimal. I like desks that aren't too crowded with stuff. What monitor is that? :)

Lol thanks, Reddit wasn't as kind. Monitor is a 27" acer. Pretty basic 1080p, nothing fancy.

I don't think I've seen anyone **** on a setup here unless they already had beef of some sort prior.  Speaking for myself, I'm always happy to see more people post who normally lurk or are newer members.  :D  Spice things up a bit, yknow??

Anyway, nice and clean setup you've got there.  :thumb:  You'll have to update after the HHKB gets in.  ;)

Vive, and while it does still suffer from noticeable pixels, it's nowhere near as pronounced as the DK1 I had back when it was the thing. With VD (an unfortunate abbreviation, to be sure) you can lean to bring the virtual screens closer to you, and you can adjust the "distance" they're at as well as their resolution. I'm using a 360° wrap of four 2560x1080 ultrawides set to the minimum distance of .5 meters, so physically moving my head has a profound effect which makes life super easy and feels more natural. Hours of working on documents and no headaches, and I get the general impression that it's actually improving my vision slightly from the exercise the ocular muscles are now getting - I seem to be able to shift focus from up close to distance much more quickly, and distant focus is more crisp. Full disclosure, I have 20/15 vision and am completely immune to every form of motion sickness, so what works for me is not necessarily going to work for others.

The PC case is the NZXT Manta, largest MiniITX enclosure out rn. I have been considering getting a hardwood wrist rest, but is really not that comfortable?

The color does not match the setup at all, but I love the off white. The almost beige look, gives a nice retro feel to a modern desk.

The PC case is the NZXT Manta, largest MiniITX enclosure out rn. I have been considering getting a hardwood wrist rest, but is really not that comfortable?

It's not too bad, but I think it makes my hands sweaty =/ Also it leaves residue on the front side of my board which isn't great...

I'm a big fan of mITX. I think I'm past the full tower stage.

I can't imagine how fast a white mouse pad would collect dust and oils from your hand. Looks good regardless. I like the white/black theme.
