I can run a small batch if you need it. might take a week or two though as I need to troubleshoot my own Exent PCB, accidentally "killed" it when I was doing some routine cleaning. I checked the power side and it is fine but I need to find out why the MCU failed to initialize, worst case changing the MCU and XTAL. Do let me know how your board failed, it may be a trivial fix in most cases.

Also if anyone has an extra bottom in either PC or Aluminum (Blue or Black) I'm highly interested in buying it from you.

Did you ever end up thinking about this?  I'm interested in 2 PCBs at least, especially if they'd be QMK and NOT BMC

trying to make a small run of 20 units of the PCB (direct replacements for EXENT and 910), just have to figure out how can I start a GB on GH.

So my kit arrived mid house move and I’ve only just got round to properly checking. Turns out there’s no screws in the box!  :'(

Could someone let me know the screw type/length that secures  the base to the case, and also the foot to the base?

This might help. Search "screws" as it's been talked about quite a bit :)

Mine didn't come with any screws. Does anyone know the screw suzey/length required to attach top and bottom piece?

Weight/foot to poly: M3 x 8mm cap screw
Poly to casing: M3 x 15mm socket head screw

For that price, I may be interested in a full aluminum plate. Black, grey, silver or red anodizing is fine. Where are you located?

Price is attractive, I'd be keen for an aluminium one. I meant to get a PCB when the latest GB ran for that but forgot to, oh well.

To clarify, no anodizing on aluminum I am afraid. :(. They only offer powder coating but not sure if that would work on the plate. Tomorrow I am going to visit them for a sample to check if the tolerances and workmanship are acceptable, so more details to follow. Shipping would be from EU.

You should be able to get one exclusives E6.5 pcbs (he’s currently running an order for them). It should fit the exent with a small widening of the base to allow for USB-C

A quick update - visited the shop yesterday, they appear more than capable of pulling this off. Good news is that I can actually get the aluminum ones anodized but that will increase the price by a few bucks. I will probably get 10 made, and and get them anodized in black. If someone wants them untreated, let me know. Pics in a few days. Final price to be determined but I expect it to be in $20-$25 range.

I'd probably nab one, but how much is shipping from your location to the US?

Well, it would be whatever the actual cost is, $10 at most. Not a fan of the fact that shipping is 1/2 of the item price, so if no one is in a hurry I usually ask a colleague or a friend who happens to be traveling to US to bring it over.

I was supposed to get the sample today but his corona thing is messing things up, I am about the check for the status. I suggest whoever is interested to PM me so we don't clutter this thread (?).

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but is that bottom row configuation supported on the Exent? From what I can tell, there are only ever two keys to the left of the arrow cluster before the space bar. Is there a way to modify the layout on QMK for this?

Thanks!

So I tested my board before soldering via bridging contacts, and all the keys worked. Now I've soldered it and everything except for backspace, pipe, enter, up arrow, and right arrow work. Occasionally when I reflash the board, it will act like right up and enter are all being held down. I've tried reflowing the joints, but given that it's all keys in the same column, i'm wondering if there's an MCU issue. I've checked and no SMD parts are lifted or missing, and I added electrical tape beneath stabilizer screws to make sure nothing is being bridged.

Any ideas?

In addition, when I replug the board, it doesn't immediately register, and I have to go through the 'firm up' step of Catweewee's instructions each time I plug the board back in.

i'm wondering if there's an MCU issue.

I'm a bit of a noob at troubleshooting, but that would be my first guess. The PCB is notorious for having bad MCU soldering. Is it an original PCB, or one that you got in the recent-ish groupby?

If it's a bad solder job around the MCU, it might look like this:

Here's a map of what pins control which part of the board:

So with the help of discord, I solved this! A stabilizer screw (on backspace) was shorting the entire column to ground. I wonder if other people have experienced this with screw-in stabs.

It’s a common issue with screw ins. The fix is usually a nylon or other non conductive material washer.

Seeing as I said I'd let people know how I got on and it's been nearly a year since I said that, here is the first yearly update:

You can try to PM codywanks. It's a bit of a long shot but he's had some experience with helping to get the boards out, and tends to have good information when we need it most.

If that doesn't produce any results, after waiting another month or two for a response from yuktsi you might want to consider asking for an update in public places such as yuktsi's GB posts and IC posts. It's kind of a d-ck move, but it might be your only hope of getting a response. And other people deserve to know that it appears yuktsi ghosts some of his customers.

I think I'll probably just leave it, but thanks for the suggestions. Yeh I'm somewhat reluctant to do that, as you say it is kind of a **** move. It's a bit of a difficult one as it's not just a tgr/yuktsi buy but he seems to be the guy that has the boards/the ability to send them out. My understanding is jua essentially disappeared, rama just helped with the design a bit and originative had the keycaps and may or may not have sent them to yuktsi. I do think it's a bit questionable that yuktsi has had other buys going on whilst people have been waiting a very long time for this (and will probably never receive them), but I don't think it would be fair for him to receive all the blame when he seems to be the only person that stuck around for at least some time and tried to send at least a few out. On the other hand running the other buys could have been necessary in order to get some funds to sort out this mess. I think the reality of the situation is it will just fade away and nobody will really care. I highly doubt spreading the word would have any effect on people buying tgr boards anyway, especially as they are nowadays being sold for obscene aftermarket prices.

Bit disappointing but not surprising unfortunately
I have a nearly identical story. Good communication for a bit, an aramex number provided that never worked, and radio silence since then.

Yeh I'm not expecting anything but I'll probably check in once a year or so until I forget

Looks like I am the only one using this thread anymore haha.

Hopelessly posting again to see if anyone has a lead on the plate files?

Might want to get in touch with RAMA and ask him. He's the one who designed the board as far as I know. The GB runner, juahenza, doesn't check this thread anymore and I'm not sure if yuktsi does either.
