Why does everyone like the poker better than the pure? Doesn't the pure have little to no PCB flex?

PCB flex is about the same, actually. Even in an aluminum case.

People like the Poker more than the Pure for a couple reasons, basically:
1. Some people don't like backlighting, and most Pures available until now have included backlighting.
1a. Because of the backlighting LEDs, in order to swap the springs and/or stems in a Pure, you have to first desolder all the LEDs before the switch housing can be opened. On the Poker, there are only 7 LEDs to be desoldered for a switch mod.
2. Pure has 1.75-unit right shift and a dedicated ~` key just to the right of that shift. Makes it hard to find snazzy keycap sets that will fit the Pure. Poker has a standard US/ANSI layout.

Any chance you will get the Race with PBT caps and no back lighting? Qtan has some and they have MX White switches, but I would be happy with reds or browns, or clears if some black magic and voodoo took place.

So close, yet so far...

I think we'll have Black MX, Blue MX, and White MX in later this month or early next.

Are you going to be receiving any of the Poker w/ brown switches in again or are they done being manufactured?

I like the poker more than the pure because of the function layer. I think that the changes they made to it made it considerably worse. Still hoping that one day I can get a 60% keyboard that's programmable.

In reference to the non-led Pures, how many LEDs does it have? I know the Poker has 6 or 7 LEDs for the dip switch modes. I'm looking for a keyboard that will be easy to do switch mods. Therefore having to do minimal soldering is ideal. Also, do you forsee getting any more non-mx black Pokers in?

You show stock of Pure Browns.  Do you  know if the Pure has the same "arrow lock" mode as the poker? And the ability to move the Fn key to the left?

Thanks in advance,

Just google "kbt pure manual" :)

No and Yes.

Just google "kbt pure manual" :)

I did, and Google pointed me to...  the manuals thread on geekhack.org.

According to the notoriously inaccurate KBT manual, the arrow key mode creates an inverted T from Alt, Win, Ctrl & Shift. So you lose Shift_R if you keep it in that mode:

Quote
FN + Space:
  Switching Shift_Right and ↑
  Switching Alt_Right and ←
  Switching Win_Right and ↓
  Switching Ctrl_Right and →

Hopefully that is accurate, and either someone who owns one can try and confirm or deny OR MechanicalKeyboards.com will confirm it before I buy one.

Thanks very much,

I do own one, and the manual is accurate. Not sure what you are viewing, but googling "kbt pure manual" gives me this pdf.

as you can see, you can either lock shift-alt-win-ctrl on the right side to act as arrow keys, or you can modify J K L I to arrow keys by pressing down FN.

Picked up the poker with reds, sorry buddy. I've been checking their websites twice a day, and finally snagged one when I didn't see any pure in reds coming in this batch.
I might get a pure with reds next time they're on sale, and see which i want to keep :P

What site do you go on? I've been looking for a kbt pure orange led with brown cherry mxs

Just an FYI... in the latest 'Interest Check' sent to us by Vortex, brown MX wasn't an option.

We have some coming in on this next shipment, but I'm not sure when we'll be able to get more in the future.

Did the shipment of new Pures and Races (w/ Milks!) come in yet? The Facebook page said today was the day. Not that I'm, y'know, anxious to place an order or anything...
