Title: [IC] LED-Window keycaps

I don't know how to manage a group buy, and I think I don't have enough time for it, so I can't run it. I hope someone will.

It is not easy to find LED-Window keycaps, and I think a group buy of it will sound nice. So here is the interest check.

If you don't know what is LED-Window keycaps, here is a picture of it. Picture from Google.

Here are few questions

1. What color?

2. Blank or legend(have letters/words on it) ?

3. Row 1(top row) or caps lock or both?

4. GMK or SP?

Post by: HoffmanMyster on Wed, 04 December 2013, 20:38:55: I'd like to see this happen. I think the easiest way to make it work is use the most common colors that people might want/have so that more people will buy. So something like beige, dolch, black, etc.

I would contact GMK and find out what the MOQ is for blank windowed keys. I bet they are really cheap and you could sell them in packs of like 20 and we'd hit the MOQ quickly.

Also, SP does have the ability to make these. I have a few SP windowed caps shown here (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=47325.msg1008850#msg1008850).

I may add dark grey (Doclh/Skidata) base color blank windowed caps selection as add on option since doing that color base anyway.

The GroupBuy? not very expensive at all, but a limited number.

I think you got that $60 number from Tin who has one

you can find yourself an original 2100 and just grab one there..but that would mean stripping the board of it's originality :blank: :blank:

Ah, alright thanks, GMK seems superior build but TaiHao looks same as SP and they seem good too for their price.

1. R1 x1 windowed blanks

2. GMK only

3. 4 of each per set with the color keys from the original set, for example Dolch you can have an option of 2 different color sets ( dark grey and the olive grey 4 keys per set) would be best and would be easier to hit MOQ this way me thinks.

4. Sets I would like to see for to match the GMK sets, Dolch , Skidata ( I think the Skidata dark grey is same as the Dolch dark grey), Beige classic, possible Handerbeit set (maybe this set can have 1 of each color per keycap)

Might want to create a separate thread in order for people to find it. I stopped looking in that PBT thread as I have no interest in those sets. I would never have thought of looking in the PBT thread for windowed ABS cherry caps so you might be loosing out on a few by merging it into that thread.
