they did indeed do a teal mod set. It's pretty damn hard to find one of those pink sets nowadays, unfortunately.

Maybe based bunny god and JTK will do a miami round 3 set and we can have miami teal spacebars for topre and the thickness of JTK.

pls bunny, I'll luv you forever

Haha yeah that would be pretty dope, though tbh Miami R2 was pretty much perfect. Idk how popular a JTK set would be as I'm not sure it's a very popular colour set.

Sucks that pink set is hella rare now tho, have they just stopped making it? If I remember there was a thread a while back saying the people who make them have stopped producing sets? Idk

Topre stopped all production of topre sets back in 2014 I think. I contacted Brian at Ek and he told me.

There is the skull squadron topre set that is coming up by matt3o, so that could be exiting. We won't have HHKB support though.  :'(

But I'd buy JTK miami in a heartbeat. And I think the set is quite popular on r/mk, I can't count how many times I've seen a poker with miami on it.  :))

Those nasty as **** Tao Hi(?) sets aren't Miami. They are trash. You see a lot of them because they are cheap, when Bunny was running the R2 so many people on r/mk specifically said that it was a rip off and too expensive as you could get 'the same set' for half the price... Pretty clear how that went...

But that sucks about Topre sets, though I still want a HHKB, a stock white one looks so good anyway

Damn that board is awesome. I'd love to try it out.

Could you do a typing test of the board sometime? The silent sliders and the digilog might be interesting.  ^-^

I love this thread. All these yummy Topre boards... mmmm.

Here's my current on-going project. Novatouch bought for parts, as it was missing the top half of the case. So it has a bunch of standard Topre sliders on it. HHKB black on black keys on the Topre sliders, Cherry POM on the MX, minus the POM Mario, Aluminum Vader, Doomcaps, and some dyed HHKB blanks.

Not exactly pretty, but looks way better than it did a few days ago. Still deciding what I'm going to do for the case. I'll eventually get some of the JT MX sliders once they're available to put it back to 'normal'.

I quite like that stealth look of that Novatouch! When I disassembled my Filco a while ago I also used it a little bit without the top case  :)

I finally managed to round up my Realforces under one roof.

Just want to take a moment to appreciate the silver plate on the white Realforce. I wish this was the norm.

White/Black RF 87u 55g, stock w/black cable

Digilog Realforce 55g, lubed, silenced with Hypersphere rings

I really need a better camera lens.

** and probably a lightbox too. These boards deserve it!

Do you guys use the small or high stands on the HHKB? Most of the pictures here seem like they ignore them entirely. Is there a reason for that?

I have Bluelounge Kicks on the bottom of the HHKB for additional grip on my desk.  It adds about 4mm of height to the board overall, so you could put me in the no stand group.

I use the tall feet without a wrist rest, felt it easier to type on than the flatter profile but it kind of hurts my hands after a few hours.

Still need to try the Kicks that dustin included with his HHKB bundle.

They aren't the end all be all, but they do provide a lot better traction than using it stock flat.  I am sure there are better alternatives out there, but these aren't too bad.  Plus they come in a 4 pack, so you have enough to do 2 boards.

Neither.

There was a thread or two about this a while back, and I used to have the legs extended, but I tried with the keyboard flat on all my keyboards and found I preferred it that way.

The natural incline on the keycaps is sufficient for me.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I haven't noticed cracks but I have seen batches of cases that had odd scuff marks all in the same locations.

I have a Royal Glam at the moment on my CODE, eh, the finish wasn't that great to be honest and the pricing was pretty ****ty for what it was. I have spots of random varnish on mine, it's good enough but not really top tier.

It's a Royal Glam TKL wrist rest! Mine's pretty good, I don't have the same problems with it that others have had.

I have a Royal Glam at the moment on my CODE, eh, the finish wasn't that great to be honest and the pricing was pretty ****ty for what it was. I have spots of random varnish on mine, it's good enough but not really top tier.
Well yeah, the quality is somewhat lacking for the prices they go for on massdrop. I did get mine straight from china so it was pretty cheap for me, not much to gripe about given what I paid for it
