Not sure where the right place to ask this is - does anyone mind measuring the length of the slider housing on their HHKB? See image:

and the depth from the case to the top plate as well as the top of the switch housing to the top plate, if possible? See image:

I'd do it myself of course but I'm really lacking the equipment to do so at the moment... all I've got is a fat plastic ruler and whatever's in this Airbnb :blank:

Not really. I only did the mod a few days ago so i can't comment really. First impressions are they seem just as smooth and consistent as the stock ones. The shift and enter keys are a little iffy as they are only supported by the central mount. I did drill the hhkb so the keys will travel their full distance and that helped.
Thanks.

I don't quite get the part about the stabilized keys though; aren't the lateral support stems helping with that?

You have to drill a whole so that the stabilized inserts in the keycaps have a place to travel. Otherwise they will catch on the outer housing of the switch. The novatouch stabilized housing already have these holes. So if you were to do the mod on a RF all you have to do is change the whole housing along with slider. Since the hhkb housings are molded into the case your only option is to drill a hole. You could remove the mounts on the keycap, but that would render the cap useless for MX in the future.

Edit: just reread your post. If this isn't what you were asking, sorry.

Not exactly. I am aware of the differences between the Novatouch's stabilized plungers and Topre's classic stabilized plungers, and the necessity to drill holes in the housings of the stabilized keys on the HHKB in order to accommodate the former because of the construction of the keyboard. My question pertains to Pexon saying Shift and Enter are only supported by the central mount, when the plungers (from the Novatouch) for those keys would have lateral support stems to assist with this. So I was wondering if he modified something is this regard, or if the support stems were simply not very efficient here.

I see. The Nova stabilizers actually don't have mounts for MX caps. The space-bar does, but none of the others do. They are short enough that the slider is able to support the cap, just like standard topre sliders.

incorrect

the goal was to show off the esc/fn sets, then singles without using duplicates.

his board has duplicate caps on it
