Oh thats fantastic! I was going to ask you for a profile shot. I wonder if these Aerokeys are thick enough for me to go to town with a dremel tool ;)

I mean, almost definitely not

But I'd like to see someone attempt that  :))
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

Ok, so I took some measurements from my KK control. The thinnest part of the cap top is 1mm so that can't be shaved down but the thickest part is about 2.5mm so you could file down the front edge and round it a bit to create somewhat of a stepped cap.

That's one hell of nice picture! And the board too. What is it though, if it's not a Novatouch/Realforce/HHKB then I'm lost in identifying Topre boards.

Thanks! It's a Novatouch inside of a Ryan Norbauer aluminum case.

It's a concrete box from Modern Anthology, available here: https://modernanthology.com/collections/habitat/products/hexagon-concrete-box-white (no affiliation). It doesn't fit many but it's a nice touch on the desk. The jar full of switches to the left is from West Elm. A lot of mechanical keyboard accessories that would otherwise be sitting in a drawer can make for interesting office decor.

Thanks! it's taken an age to get it all together, still a couple milk colors to get but I'm really happy with it. Martin's mint run was just a stroke of luck :)

I will take some nice photos when I have a moment.

Of course you can but in aftermarket from other owners. Most them are from sales or trades. The modset is specifically made for me and it looks like it could be one of the last sets made by aero keys.
