Lately, my phone breaking has been more of a blessing than anything. I'm highly considering my next phone not being a smart phone.

The only thing I miss is browsing here and GH on the way to work. But I've been re-reading ASOIAF so it hasn't been all that bad and I've been really enjoying them again.

It was funny though while on the bus and some kid came out with "Books are for posh people." I had a little chuckle to myself.

One of these, but without a cable.  I'm hoping it has Fujitsu Leaf Spring switches.  The "tombstone" key caps gives me hope.

I ended up selling some of my old roommates stuff he had left here and told me to keep , so really I only paid $107 out of pocket . I was really tone between the 87u 55g or an HHKB. The deciding factor was I just returned a CM novatouch and while I liked the board it was a little loud (squeaky) and all though I liked the 45g keys I really wanted something heavier.  Part of me is kind of regretting not getting the HHKB but I only time will tell.

55g HHKB = Best choice

Please forgive me if this is a stupid question but don't you have to mod one to have 55g keys  or can you actually buy those off the shelf?

Mod, but it is worth the price. You have enough domes for an HHKB and 23U. Then you can sell the 45g swapped board, I just sold my swapped board.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

55g HHKB = Best choice
Please forgive me if this is a stupid question but don't you have to mod one to have 55g keys  or can you actually buy those off the shelf?

Mod, but it is worth the price. You have enough domes for an HHKB and 23U. Then you can sell the 45g swapped board, I just sold my swapped board.
Joey- How much did you get for your swapped Rf 87u if you don't mind me asking?
