Ducky Realforce 104UW Taiwan Edition
Gotta really give this a go and see if I like Topre. I wanted 30g, but I'll have to settle for 45g for now.
Nice. When I tried out a 45g HHKB on a tour I liked them but the layout was not for me. Reminds me of a softer SKCM Green. More tactile than normal Alps but not as much as Brown while being a bit softer b/c rubber dome.
45g was ok but I am curious to one day try out 55g. 30g seems wayy to light, especially coming from the standard Alps weightings.
Yeah, this is going to be a progressive thing for me. I wanted 30g because I enjoy featherweight as well as heavier switches (not sure if I'd like 100-135g heavy, but 'typical' ~80g heavy is enjoyable for me), and it was different.
Guess I'm going to try the norm first (silenced sliders sound exciting though), then likely buy a 55g to check out, then wait and see if the Ducky stormtrooper Realforce is a thing and comes with 30g domes again, and try that.
Ultimately, I hope I at least enjoy ONE weighting, but if not, they have a good resale value.
I'm probably going to let go of my Octagon v1 to fund some of this too, since I never use that thing anymore.
I've been wanting to put white damped sliders in SKCM Green housings, but I always stop myself because it feels so wrong. Combined with SPRiT's lightest springs, that'd probably be pretty nice.
