Is Rosewill even doing anything more regarding mechanical keyboards? I thought they discontinued the only model they ever actually sold?

It's still up on their site, hopefully it's coming back in stock...

Oh, for some reason I thought that quote was an e-mail from EliteKeyboards regarding Leopolds - my own fault for only glancing at the model number.

I might have to pick up one of those. Something about the red plate is pleasing to the eye. Makes me wish I hadn't missed the one in Classifieds recently.

Might have to go hardcore Korean and type on the switches without keycaps, and dye the body of the board red.

$99 Rosewill Fullsize Mechanical Keyboards with red, blue, brown and black Cherry MX Switches? Since Rosewills are basically a rebranded filco, better LOOK out Elite Keyboards! $109 Tenkeyless Leopolds with JUST Blues and Browns just won't cut it. Get some Leopolds Reds and Blacks!

Shipping from Japan to the US is like $25-$40. It's pretty expensive.

I quote, from elitekeyboards' support section:
Quote
Our Leopold keyboards are currently available with three varieties of Cherry MX switches, all of which are mechanically compatible in size and shape, but differ in their internal workings; as such they are suited for different applications.
Hoping to hear from you again, your dearest friend, sam113101.

Right and there's a section in the lower bar that includes such search items as "Linear" switch and it goes to a page with "black" as the heading but no other info...Yet?
I hope he comes out with a Red for $109 or at least close, so I can evaluate w/o going broke doing it.  It's about the last switch I am curious about.

Or go with clear keycaps.

But those increase latency by some infinitesimally small, undetectable amount, which would(n't) harm performance at Starcraft tournaments.

I'd like him to get something new period.

For a while he was talking Doubleshots but that sure didn't look like it panned out.   Luckily these OCN/Ducky/KBC Laser Engraved PBTs are wearing pretty good and I have heard surprisingly little whining about Leopold keys wearing out.

Leopold keys wear out in the same way as the duckys do: they fade until the infill is flush with the key, then it pretty much stops.  I still prefer that to the Filco shine.

EK has a lot of goodies on the table but when?  I'm still waiting for the "newsletter" to come out with sometihing.  I'm waiting for the unform weight "white" Realforce to come out.  Also, the "other" keycaps he says will come out some day.

Cool, I just saw myself quoted on this page. I had to email them (Rosewill) again to ask when Q3 of their fiscal year would begin, and they said that this would be September.

Awesome. Rosewill's first mech 'board run was amazing (and superbly priced) so the sooner they can get the NA retail channels back in stock the better.
