Title: [IC] Collide39 - Not Quite 30% or 40% Keyboard w/ a Macro Twist!
Post by: SpaceCatDesign on Fri, 13 July 2018, 13:16:29
Hey everyone!

SpaceCat Design is working with Maple Computing on a new and exciting project...at least we think so! :-)

Here are some renders of the keyboard in question, no point in not getting right to it, eh?

https://imgur.com/a/cdODwbk

As you can see from the renders, many layouts are supported. Essentially it's a small profile keyboard with a macro (or artisan) area on the right. Our intent is to ship with PCB case/plate combination. We are also working with some well-known vendors to get cases made out of various materials.

MSRP looks to be about $60 for a fully on-board, soldered keyboard (with PCB case, of course). You would just supply and solder your own switches/stabs. It would use QMK most likely.

So, basically this is an interest check to get some feedback on things before we go any further. The form itself is here:

Thank you so much, as always. <3

I love small boards and think it’s an area with plenty of innovation left to mine. Consider two units sold to me if it goes to GB.

I can't say no to cheap innovative DIY kits like this. I like the macro pad to the right, very cool. I'm likely in.... The only thing is that ~40% boards with PCB cases are usually half that price...
