So, erm, $700 for a board with Cherry MY (not MX) switches? Yes, it's NIB, and the Cyrillic legends are cool, but is something like this worth even remotely that much?

It's all about the keycaps. G81 keyboards are - with VERY few exceptions - the only source of original Cherry PBT keycaps. So you will see a lot of people pay insane amounts for G81s just because of the caps.

I think it's very strange keyset, at least alpha not OG imo, Take a look at the last picture, personally I have not seen scoops.

I've never tried MYs myself; I was just going by what most people have said about them here over the years.

Well, typing's a very personal thing, so whatever blows your skirt up!

The back of the keys makes it seem like they're not even double shot

guys, it is back on eBay
https://www.ebay.com.my/itm/NIB-CHERRY-KEYBOARD-G81-3000-SAV-RUS-Cyrillic-ENG/173087249145?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

For real? Is it worth it?

IMO, yes. Typically see cyrillic dyesubs with black english legends and red cyrillic sublegends like this

I feel its very uncommon to have cyrillic legends and english side legends. I also notice that the number row top legends looks different than what I'm used to seeing. It reminds me of the keytronic number row font/style but much better. Considering standard dyesub sets sell somewhere around 300, I'm surprised the listing is still up, really, for a NIB example like this.

They are dyesubs, some of the best Cherry ever made.

Are the red sub-legends dye sub as well? I'd think the red are just printed.

You may be right. I thought the older ones had double and some newer ones, like this, had pad printing sublegends

Yeah.. and so I am curious if this one in eBay - are the side legend dye sub? Looking at the back of the key, there is no mark.. so it is likely the side legends are dye subbed as well. Interesting!
