Very nice and that's a great price. Few questions though:

1. What material(s) will the weight be?
2. What material(s) will the plate be?
3. Will there be an option for just a plate and case for those who would rather use a different PCB?

Thank god I can buy this instead of LZ's board. Any chance for a raw option? Really digging the idea of og beige cerakote. Also halfplate please?

Maybe I'm just being naive but why is tray mount a negative?

Maybe I'm just being naive but why is tray mount a negative?

It’s more that top mount is a positive for a lot of people. Some for aesthetics. Some for stiffness/rigidness. Some just cause “why make a 2 part case that is tray mount”.

Got to admit I don't really understand the fad for elaborate weights that have the main effect of running up costs.  (Not picking on this case specifically; it's something that's been going around.)  It seems like the cutout for the weight might even reduce the stiffness of the frame, if it has any effect at all.  If I really wanted it to feel and sound super solid, I'd try a wedge-shaped base of pure, solid aluminum and then drop a sheet of sorbothane in the bottom.

But my thoughts are always on functionality; that's just how I am.  I don't "get" artisans either.

Also, the plate as shown does not have cutouts for Banana Split or DZ60 split spacebar.  Would be nice if it did.

With an edge mount case the plate material matters more and it allows you to tune the experience better. Tray mount the plate isn't doing much at all.

Normally the weight is made of a different material like brass or steel, so it actually can add some significant heft, but since it looks like this is going to be aluminum, it's not super practical.

Yeah, for me the aluminium weight seems to be adding more cost for what in my opinion is little gain.

It's more about the plate compatibility.
It's a tray mounted case, any Poker plate will fit. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Interesting, the plate is screwed to the bottom of the case, this is almost like a top mount case.
The design and shape of the case are very nice, the only thing I don’t like is the weight, it’s a bit too much for my taste.

Could you take some shots with case open with details on how the PCB would be mounted and how the case is assembled ?

Yes, PCB will be included. You can also use other GH60 compatible PCBs (e.g. XD60)

I see. Our PCB support switches with LEDs on the bottom direction, which should be the way you prefer.
