Will not be doing integrated plate. I personally see more cons than pros for an integrated plate.
Would you care to clarify?
Polycarb - More thock and flex (some said tactiles are great on these, who knows)
Aluminium - more choices of colour
Brass - best sounding, more rigid than above two - I like to use linears on them
Stainless steel - very rigid, higher ping
Each plate has different characteristics that works well with linears / tactile switches. Making it integrated means losing the ability to customize your needs.
I personally feel this would be a greater loss than gain in the long run. Also multiple pcbs / plates making switch swapping way easier.
Another point will be greater ease of assembly versus an integrated plate (which has higher chance of creating dings and scratches during the installation and soldering process).
Edit: Just to add, integrated plate is harder to machine, potentially more rejects and more QC issues as well.
