Hi everyone,

This is just a little interest check for a replacement controller for the WASD TKL v2
which I have been working on for the last week.

Design

Here's a little picture of the current design:
207001-0

I have already tested the matrix implementation and prototypes have been ordered.
Updates will be posted in this thread :)
Features

Its features include:
- Fully programmable with QMK
- Native matrix implementation (less parts!)
- Supports the capslock and scrollock leds
- First dip switch is a reset button
- ISP header

Group buy

After everything has been tested and I have gathered more feedback,
I will finalize the design and probably run a group buy for this little controller.
The price I'm aiming for is about 25 dollars or so, excluding shipping.

Lol. Great name. Not something I'd use but great idea, I love iteration on OEM.

Yes, those are just unused keys.

Sounds great! What MCU will it come with?

I’d be in for one. Would be nice to breathe some new life into my old WASD.

Prototype works! Except that I had a pin swapped which broke the entire thing and I had to fix that manually, but other than that it's perfect!

I guess it's time to prepare a group buy now :)

Lil update: I got QMK DFU working and that means the capslock led flashes when you're in bootloader mode and you can exit by pressing esc :)
Every wasdat will come preflashed with this bootloader and the default layout, which supports both ANSI and ISO out of the box.

I do want some feedback from you on the PCB color: what do you guys like? I can get green, blue, red, yellow, white or black.

The GB will launch in a few weeks and the price for one controller will be 25 USD, most likely. Still need to figure some things out so stay tuned

I have no idea about compatibility with the Code, nor the fullsize WASD v2.
I could definitely make one for the Code or the fullsize model if someone sent me one (which I will send back) but for now it's not a possibility.

Hey everyone,

The group buy starts on Sunday the 25th :D

Mechboards.co.uk is the vendor for the EU, Keyhive.xyz is the vendor for the US and all other regions can order from me directly using a Google Form. The price is less than 30 dollars too :thumb:

Have a great week!

Don’t even have a WASD board but I’m planning to pick one of these up. Pretty cool.

Hmmm. I have a full size WASD V2.  So I am interested!  I'll be keeping an eye on this!

One question though.  Would the WASD dip switches still operate as normal?  Or does is change what the dip switches do?

Only the first dip switch does something, the rest is disabled.

Really exited about the code tkl controller.

the only things i dont like of my wasd code is that it is not programmable.
