There were rumours of a rubber dome version of the AT/Bigfoot but I think people were talking of this one. Don't listen to me though, never had one of those.

The AT102 (don't know about the 101) has a small ridge over the F keys, so it's fairly easy to tell.

This is a quality rubber dome keyboard, though. My father has used this Dell 'board for about ten years and it still works fine. It has quite a nice feel.

Hi lowpoly.

It's not a rumor. Actually, ribber dome versions of bigfoot board exist.
AT101R/102R/103R are the number of such boards. R indicates rubber dome boards.
Can't point a right page with exact pictures but this page explains there ARE such models.
see dimension column.  "depth" is telling these are not Dell quiet boards with SK numbers.

the titled keyboard in question is a rubber dome board by Silitek.

102W might be a UK layout board with Windows keys.
I vaguely suppose 102DW would be German layout with win keys...but now sure.

103 indicates Japanese layout board, btw.

The 102DW is indeed a German Layout with windows keys. Is there any system to it? The 101/102/103 defines the number of keys, W seems to denote Windows keys (?) and the other character different languages--does anyone have a list of existing models?

Strictly speaking, 101/102/103 defines basic layout at least in Dell's clasification.
101/US standard established by IBM with model M, usually called as ANSI, maybe.
102/ISO European layout.
Somebody may correct two above.

103/Japanese standard layout with 106 keys defined by OADG. This layout  started with a 5576-A01 keyboard and it is usually called as A01 layout.
I think 103 is used only by Dell.

Not sure if HP branded AT ( or PS/2) compatible bigfoot boards exist or not.
But there is an AX keyboard.
AX boards are not fully compatible with OADG standard but can be used on M$ Windows
with an appropriate keyboard driver as like as 5576-001/002 ( I myself have not yet confirmed.)

I like the key, but wish the logo wasn't there. A generic symbol would be better IMO. The key itself is great for shortcuts and macros.

I like that Diamond that Sun uses on their keyboards (also used on the HHKB). However, the standard gets forced down manufacturer's throats by MS, so most are just going to stick to the Windows logo.

Do Dell keyboards with SK-#### in general come from Silitek?

I ask because I just found a keyboard for a friend, a Dell SK-8000 that is fantastic for gaming depending on the button layout you use.  If the SK means Silitek I might be tracking down more from that company to try their stuff out.
