Title: 60 percent pcb recommendation
Post by: kgolden on Sun, 11 February 2018, 14:54:59
... Okay I'm looking for a recommendation for a 60 percent pcb. The GH60 looks good but I am unsure. Is the green one the same as the black one that is for sale on techkeys? LEDs are not a requirement. Thanks in advance.  :thumb: oh and what is a good plate for 60%? I like stainless but the brass one on 1UP looks pretty slick.

Yes, the green GH60 is the same as the black one being sold at Techkeys. Those are “real” GH60 PCBs, as opposed to the “Satan” or “Rev.CHN” versions, which I consider knockoffs or fakes. The real GH60 was designed by komar and me with input from the community.

And the universal 60% plates sold at 1UP and at Mekanisk are both my designs as well. I would recommend either. :)

So 1up seems to only have the hhkb plate in stock and mekanisk doesn't seem to have any plates available. Who else would have a stainless steel or brass plate for a poker layout? Or maybe it's easier to have one cut?

I wish I had known this about 8 hours ago. I would have sent you a plate with that other stuff I mailed out to you today. :(

Oh man.. No worries. You are too generous as it is. Really though, you are too kind.  :thumb: I am just exploring all things 60% keyboard related. GH60 pcb will be here Saturday and once I decide on having a plate cut or buying one somewhere online then I'll order it. But I'm not in a rush to complete it,  :)) still need to finish the TKL. I will cut the base plate when i go back to work, I'm currently on vacation and won't have access to our shop until another week and a half. ...but once the gh60 pcb comes, i may speed things up because I'm too excited to build it. Haha
