Hello Geekhack. Appreciates for everything you guys have done to make the round 1 succeed.

We did say that past round was the final one, but...

Depending on reactions and so many PMs we got, so we decided to make round 2 happen.

And bluetooth PCB option is added this time to make your CA66 more capable to carry around.

Case Features:

6063 aluminum
Top case (including HHKB like and WKL like versions)
Bottom firm plate
Switch plate (aluminum or brass)
badge (brass or titanium, no badge for WKL like top case)
365mm x 168mm, 1365g with SA keycaps approximately

PCB Features:

Black pcb, gold pads
USB C interface
RGB led animation on right side (can be set as indicators)
TMK, QMK supporting

Bluetooth PCB Features (CAD66):

Wire/wireless, charging when cable is plugged
A bluetooth switch between Tab and Q
Battery electricity indicator
3 month duration (with a 3000 mAh battery)
Battery not included (since its caused problems to ship it. you can find one which meets your usage habit)
alps switches supporting

Other things to be decided such as price, case colors, plate colors, etc.

Please feel free to ask anything.

2018.8.2 RGB leds section now raise a bit with a small daughter board. For avoiding light leaking that happened in past rounds.

i would love a matte white colour or matte pink

but i'm in for the GB regardless
also is it possible to change the design and move the usb port to the top of the board? mostly because it's harder to find nice angled usb cables :O

I have a ca66 from the China buy. Would want to buy just the Bluetooth PCB if possible? I hope it will fit in the old case

Considered that before, but we decided not to ruin the perfect rounded edge.

I just finished building my ca66 from the R1 buy. Definitely a great board. will be joining this one for the BT pcb.

edit: How will the bluetooth on/off switch look? is it a slider which will sit between the tab and q key? also, what about the metal case causing issues with bluetooth transmission?

I don't plan on getting the Bluetooth option. I hope the prices will be similar to round 1 If they are I'm in (if not I'm probably still in lol).

Also just wanted to see if the PCB issues from the first round will be addressed.

The reason is so you can put it over your laptop. If the cable is in the back it will hit the screen.

It would be good to get confirmation on this, but presumably it would (considering that the non-metal plate supposedly makes the BT transmission from the alternative PCB work).

Would plates be Alps+MX or can you choose one or the other? Or maybe make it an option to get either MX, Alps, or Alps+MX. Sometimes those dual-fitment plates can be a pain to work with.

Got a dark red CA66 with titanium badge in the last round. That was R3 and this IC being for R4, right?
