Do we already have confirmation on how the GB is going to run? (fcfs, raffle, auction, mix)
None of those. Unlimited GB through vendors.

Awesome, and when will EPBT SAV come out ?

Roughly how long would it take from the end of group buy phase to the shipping phase? When could we expect to receive the 7V? Thanks !

No one can answer that really. Any estimate could be wrong, so expecting 6-8 months at the very least would be reasonable.

Yeah, I mean for a high-quality board and the current state of geo-political affairs with Covid-19, I would say at least 12 months minimum.  My reference is my most recent experience with the TGR Jane v2 CE.  This is a similarly priced, high quality board (and by high QA, I mean that the board designer would accept no flaws from the factory) and we are now just receiving the majority of those boards about a year after the group buy was executed.  This is not a bad thing because you are getting exactly what you paid for - perfection in the keyboard design you want - but you will have to be patient with it.

Definitely getting one, but guess I'll have to proxy it from NK, because every package from them to Canada gets hit with duties and customs and costs like 25-50% of the package, especially if it's UPS that's shipping it.
Would to hear others experience on this because if that's the case I may go through Asia then have my friend from Japan ship it to me.

I am hyped, but the price tag might sway me away, gotta work harder now lol.

I don't think the price is that high, the OLED screen itself is like $4-5 and I'm not sure what the pricing on brass is but this is going to have PVD coated stainless steel. On top of that the machining and QC needed for the 7v logo can't be ignored either.
My opinion might be skewed a little since I just bought a $500+ board though....

450 is the base price. I assume it would have the polished stainless steel weight and not the PVD coated option.

The polished stainless steel parts are a large part of why this is going to cost what it does.
The weight has a lot of exposed edges rather than just 1 face that they need to prioritise to have a good finish.
I had a rough estimate for a sandblasted brass weight with clear-coat for cost comparisons and it came out a fair bit cheaper.

I trust him to do a good job as he did great work QCing all the Polaris units himself and that GB sold like a thousand units I believe.

Raw polished steel is silver. The PVD coating adds colour to the surface which is black in this case.

Hey Gok, any reason only the PC plate is default? IMO PC plates don't really work well with tactile switches as it's really flexy.

Can ofcourse buy it as an add-on but was curious.

Oh I see. So the silver that's on the white 7V is polished steel and the black with the black 7V is PVD?

We will need to figure exactly how this will be structured as there are limitations with shopify. We will see whether we can have it as an option but if we can't polycarbonate will be the default.

Not sure about the daughterboard part daughterboards are less likely to fail compared to the main PCB because you don't need to mess with it.

450 is for the case, polycarb plate, pcb, poron form, polished stainless steel weight and badge.

All you need to buy externally are switches, keycaps and stabilisers.
