Title: What the hell will I do once I've got my first?

I'm getting infected with this 'which board is right for me' thought process.

I'm just gonna have to jump soon, but what the hell will I do then? My thought space will be a void, until it is filled once more. I never thought I'd be thinking about these bloody things so much. They're just bleedin' keyboards... oh but they're so much more.... :eek:

Hum, well, if you do like me, you will probably go for a cherry. Then another cherry, then a Topre.
You might try different layouts in between, but that wasnt my case, just like standard layouts. They work fine IMO.

If you are REALLY smart, you will get that board, then never come back. Otherwise enjoy poverty while swimming in keyboards and keycaps you don't need at all. :)

yes - run away...  also, be prepared for any time you have to use cheap, rubber dome crap keyboards to be seething inside.

Get your first keyboard, then get out while you can. And don't look in the key caps or group buy sub forums! Stay away!

the best part is when you realize that you've been typing for hours on one of the keyboards in your stable just to figure out what you want to buy to type on _next week_

Ha ha!  This is the point when we should say welcome to GeekHack!  Since you know you won't buy just one keyboard, why not consider your second purchase now?  I'm mean if you buy your perfect keyboard first off, you'll be struggling with the second (and your third, fourth, fifth...).  

If you think you'll like blues, buy reds first.  

Swap to dvorak or colmak - that'll keep you busy for a while.
