Will 55g be restocked any time soon?
Interested in the answer to this question as well.  Looks like the 55g variety wasn't produced for this round, but will it be made again sometime soon?
It was produced 80sets only in R2, all sold out.  If ppl want it may produced in quantity in late May.

I'd be interested in 1-2 sets 55g springs :)

Hey Sprit,

Is it normal for these to get stuck in customs? Mine have been in the Los Angeles customs office since Monday, April 6 with no signs of activity all week.

Customs time varies. There may be a lot of packages, could have been in a batch with some contraband, whatever.

Can take as long as a month, maybe more. Usually clears in a week or so.

Just dont worry about it. It'll be fine, just be patient :)

Yeah, I know I should just be patient, it's just that my TEX Yoda kit arrived yesterday and now I'm itching to build it! I was hoping to have the springs by this weekend.  :(

Haha, I feel ya.

Been wanting to build my [CTRL]Alt 60% since last year and want to build it but I'm waiting on some LEDs which should be shipped out in a week or so (hopefully)

Just hang in there!

I filled out the form last Monday (6th May), received the invoice a few hours later. I paid it right away.

My order was shipped the same day and I got the package this morning.

It only took a week from Korea to France with the cheapest shipping method (Air Parcel Box).

Very impressive ! Thanks Sprit.

Only several 55g left, but will be produced in May as v1.2 with exceptional smoothness.

I do inspect all the springs by myself, but have people helping the shipping of springs.

Ooooo! Very nice! Will it just be a plate? Or will it stand up so there's clearance for the switch bottoms?

Thank you!

My Gon NerD60 HHKB I recently built using gold springs:

The key set is DSA Dolch, which at the time of this posting, is available from PMK's shop for a very reasonable price. All switches are 78g, un-lubricated.

The transparent shells are of sub-par quality compared to the original cherry plastic shells, to be honest. When trying to put them on, there's a good chance that part of one of the latches will snap, which means throwing it out and trying again. I do like that you can see the gold leaf contact from the rear, though.

I don't have any non-plated 78g springs to compare with, but they seem very well made and look great.

Definitely want to feel some of dat exceptional smoothness  :)

The OP says that the 65g springs are still v1.0
Will the 65g v1.2 be made in May also?  Going to get some of them gold stabs on my next order.

I like it a lot. The only thing I would change is for it to have a scroll wheel with detents. Actually, I may open it back up to see if there is any way to modify it to have that.

Yeah, I ended up not liking the dampening effect of thick krytox lube. May try thin in the future though.

Actually  I don't use any Grease mix for my Springs    :))     Just very minimum of pure Krytox 104 oil, spotted to the sliders.   >:D
The Standard Stainless versions are very smooth too.

Quick question: I ordered 62g and I received an additional small packet with some 78g ones. What are the 78g ones for? The space bar?

Depends, are you making a JD40 with 40ish switches, or a full-size with 100+?
Making a little assembly line would help a lot with the full-size, less so for the JD40.

can i use stabs on plate mount?

The gold stabs are PCB mount so they will not work with a plate.

Wish he would make some gold plate mount ones though.

If you took the gold wire and used it with the plate mount hardware I think it would work right?

That's assuming you have plate mounted cherry stabs laying around.

can i use stabs on plate mount?

Hi!  For which board ?
If it's a Korean board, they use almost 100% PCB mount Stabs into plates.  (Not the Plate mount Stabs into the Plates!)
It's due to machining a Plate w plate mount stab holes is much harder and sophisticated, than a Plate w PCB mount stabs cuts.
And due to quite a lot of Koreans seem prefer softer key feelings even with stabs.

So, I guess the new 62g spring is the new definitive spring.

This might be just what I need for my mx blue switches.
