Got a small shipment:
Show Image

Frosted plate, small amount of Krytox (planning on mixing with EK Mechlube 2 for Ergo Clears), Gold stabs for Orion V2. He also found some limited run 55g springs (three 78g springs were also included). Tons of "Fragile" stickers as well, which look pretty awesome.
Thanks again sprit! :thumb:

Thanks for the pic!   No broken or leakage of the Krytox bottle?  Its max. 50g big bottle, chosen for sit stable and grab comfortable.

Hello!  Prelim ;)
The Standard Stainless Springs You got are v1.2 - triple heat treated,  very smooth too, made of high quality materials the other Springs in Korea do not adopt.
the Gold Springs have v1.0 - half matte Gold plated
v1.1 high golssy gold finish
v1.2 medium glossy gold

Hello! Dear Prelim!    Let's me tell You more details  :)

-   Your 65g Standards are v1.2 stainless, made in late March to meet the Total MOQ for the spring factory,  with New 62g  v1.2 (It was almost out of stock)   ;)
-   62g v1.2 Standards went to gold-plated in April,   but 65g v1.1 golds were quite enough in March.
-   So,  62g, 65g Standard v1.2 exist since late March.   :thumb:

Haha, somehow the bbcode of the OP is really weird, the link looks like a fat line instead of text. I really missed the actual link, could only find one to a new IC. Thanks for pointing it out ;D

If I buy right now, will the springs be shipped from the US or from Korea? If it's shipped from Korea I might need to wait until I finish moving out first, since it might arrive after I hvae left this address. Thanks!

I have a question, sprit.

I have this switch tester from coolermaster with an MX Clear and an MX Brown Switch.
I swapped the springs of those two and I really like the resulting ergo clear switch (MX Brown with MX Clear spring).

I plan on ergo clear modding my 75% board from your other group buy when it arrives (hopefully soon :P ) but don't want to buy a set of MX Browns just as a donor, so I consider buying your Standard 55g like I stated in the IC.

Would you recommend these for ergo clears or would you recommend (slightly) heavier springs? Because I read in the deskthority wiki that ergo clears might get stuck because of the spring being too weak and you recommend your 55g for MX red only in the form.

Most people prefer springs between 62 and 67g for ergo clears. Below that weight, they do tend to stick. Remember that Cherry springs are measured at actuation, and Korean springs (these ones) are measured at bottom out. Therefore, equivalent Cherry and Korean springs will have different nominal weights.

Dear  RSSonic92 !  ;)

For the Ergo Clears,  JDCarpe has mentioned several times  " 62g is the holy .... "        Sorry I can't remember his English!    ::)
65g is the second best, people say.   68g many ppl prefer too.   ;)

Yes!  50g, 55g are for the Quick Linear MX users, very quick rapid responsive, and for the long time high speed typing.

Ok, a mini stabilizer wire review, since I've finally obtained all the parts for a 60% build (with a sweet FaceW PCB!)

The stabilizer wires are extremely smoothly polished, evenly coated, and require no lubrication for smooth motion.  They seem to be good for any future corrosion resistance.  I have a set of generic (maybe Cherry, not sure of the origin) stabilizer sets, and those come with very slightly thinner gauge steel gray wires with a somewhat rough finish.  These stabilizer wires are definitely much nicer, for anyone min-maxing a build :)

This is what they look like assembled--would look sharp on a build without a plate:

Thanks for the mini review. I have been deciding if I'm going to order some of these (already have cherry stabs), but I think I will get some to try out.

That's an IMSTO plate, I believe.  I got it from another forum member, not directly from any group buy.  Still having a hard time deciding which plate to use (GON, IMSTO, the_beast's steel standard plate)

I have been trying to find something (cheap) I can either repurpose or buy to use as a switch lubing station. I know some people recommend using an old switch plate or a faulty one so I have been keeping my eyes open for one but this lube station has me curious has anyone given this a go?

Really dumb question. :'(

If I were buidling a Lightsaver or RSIII how many stab-sets will I need?

you need one stab for each key 2 units or longer: left/right shift, backspace, enter/numpad enter, spacebar of choice, numpad + and 0/INS. so 8 pieces in total, 2 sets

I have been using a black Steel plate from a dissembled TG3 (Deck) compact board.  it's so nice and sturdy, but too flat, had to attach bumpons beneath it.
It is also used as one of my test beds for the Switches and Springs.  I enjoy to hear all the noises and squeaks on that.

Will 50g or 55g work on blues or are they too weak make them stick?

Also, if gold plating makes stabs smoother, with there ever be gold costar wires? :p

BIG Respect for Your points !    ;)

-  My 50g and 55g work Very fine with MX Blues!   but naturally the Clicky sound gets softer!  Some prefer this.

-  It's NOT because the Gold,  because the Wire itself is smoothly polished, and plated even smoother with Au metal particles.
We can plate with Copper, Zinc, Ferrite, Rhodium, Chrome, etc.    ::) ::)

And we need to consider each Metal's characteristic when plated on another metal.
