Saw from your Reddit post that there was a plastic case too. Will this gb only be for the acrylic?

Correct. The Acrylic + Delrin sandwich case is the only one available for this Group Buy. I'd like to make cases from other materials in the future but they were just too expensive to meet the goal of this round.

Unfortunately no split backspace for this board.

Quick question, is this designed for plate mount or pcb mount switches?

The kit has a switch plate but the PCB supports either. I've tested a few prototypes without a plate using PCB mount as well, so it's up to you which type of switch you want to use.

How complicated is soldering the teensy on this? Do the solder joints have to be flat like on a Phantom PCB build?

On a semi-related note, will there be some sort of build log posted by the time this ships?

Since it's all through-hole soldering, soldering the parts (teensy & diodes) should be simple. It's the same as soldering switches.

The Teensy headers don't stick up further than the USB port on the teensy, so you don't need to clip them. The only thing that needs to be clipped are the diode legs once they're soldered in.

I'll make a build log with detailed photos (since I'll have to build one more board when the GB PCBs arrive to be 1 million percent sure they're perfect) and am including a short instructional sheet with all orders noting the correct build order (diodes -> stabs -> teensy headers -> switches -> teensy).

Thank you to everyone who joined the group buy!
Invoices are all sent!

If you purchased a kit or an extra case you will be contacted in the next 24 hours to select your case colors. If you don't pick your options by September 12th, you will get a black top half & clear lower half with a black bottom plate.

I'll be taking photos of the production version of the case tonight. It looks classy and feels really solid.

EDIT: I'll be logging production updates in the OP so that everyone is clear as I order and receive parts. As soon as everything is in my hands, I will sort and start shipping (hopefully ahead of the September 29 production completion estimate).

There may be extras, but I'll have to wait until everyone receives their order before I'm willing to sell extra cases (in case something goes wrong during shipping).

I'm also planning on running another round with additional case options (hopefully by the end of the year).

I know the GB is over but I have a question That I really wait to know, considering I would like to make a acrylic sandwich board aswell, please answer if you sees this: how did you sandwich the acrylic piece together? would you mind telling me how the screws that holds the case together works? Sorry for bothering, I would really appreciate some words from you. Thanks you!
