You don't even know who the top CC collectors are. Only Clack Factory knows. They wouldn't want to be hounded to sell and trade, or be harassed as "hoarders"

I think at some point, I want a non rare one just so I can put one on my keyboard. I'm really intimidated by the pricing and competetiveness that comes with them though

I agree. They are probably my favorite clacks, the white with red splats. They just seem more versatile than the black and red ones.

I was around when CCs weren't really that popular. I just wasn't into them at the time. I got my first CC from the hack orange second chance sale and I have to say, they do look pretty nice in person.

About 2 years ago. I definitely would have had a much easier time getting some CCs back then, but I just never found the skull that appealing. The hack orange sale was the first time I actually tried to get some CCs, and during the second chance sales I got an MX and topre one.

I think Dan (or someone else) mentioned that back then the CC skulls didn't sell out on EK's site for ages, and I believe he bought some of his first few skulls (or at least some of the now rarer ones) back then. Personally though, I never even checked, since I wasn't really into it.

Out of all the Click-Clacks so far, that one is my favorite.
After that is the Julysicle and Toxic Green Skull.

I'm curious more than anything else, I'd love it if the top collectors could submit there collection in a way that could be cut up and annon editied into 'ze list' so there was a proper catalogue of CC's...

its a shame people get so aggressive but I personally love looking at collectors collections (I collect Metal Gear Solid stuff and can't get enough of people's collections where they have 4x mint copies of the rarest items avaliable... makes me wana jump on ebay lol)...

though I only have the hack-orange, I did have 2 others that I traded and don't personally feel the need to own more than one per board... though for my next board, I do really want a toxic green or sky blue skull...

You might be able to find some in the archive or on DT, but ClickClack made a couple special ones for some members. For example sixty (now on DT) has a personal one that says 66 MHZ (shown here http://deskthority.net/photos-videos-f8/clickclack-keycaps-t89.html) and I think ripster's darth vader is one of a kind too.

EDIT: I think imersa has some cool ones too

If I remember correctly the yellow took the longest. The tri-colors went in a couple of days. I got a red and yellow from the end of that sale, the only ones left at the time. Unless I already had the blue and went for the red instead. Maybe the blue and yellow were the last to sell.

Like most of them.
There are more custom like keys around than any other offered through EK. Most people who have them just don't post them.
He mostly did custom orders at first and he has lots (trust me, LOTS) of keys that have not been offered yet. I believe he plans to offer them, but it's looking like he is too busy to offer them now.

I was working with a few others trying to map out the clackverse. Three members sadly went MIA and one person was selling items to be copied. People are keeping to themselves a bit more now. Things might change again later and this thread might be a great place to help that out.

Wow, I never knew that, that's pretty amazing. Hope to see more of what he releases in the future; And would definitely like to get my hands on some.
