Interested.

By the way, is there a reason why the entire switch housing isn't sold? (instead of just top cover)

Seems like there are quite a few from R1 who have not received their tops yet

That has a lot more components, including metal parts that are fixed.  Are you asking them to make those parts too?  Also, they still need to correct the inner dimensions of the existing tops--designing and executing the bottoms would need to have even lower tolerances for error.

is there any word on led switch covers yet? I would be willing to pick up at least 300 if you decide to make those.

So no space for LEDs? Bummer.
I think a cool color would be a transparent graphite.

These allow for an LED like normal cherry tops, however what was discussed before was the possibility of having a different mold made to allow for switch top removal while leaving LED's intact.

What? I thought the only issue what that the tops couldn't be removed with leds in, which is an issue with all mx tops that aren't modified.

Unless I am wrong and these don't support leds for some reason and I missed that.

I think he means the not-at-all-easy-or-clean mod where you cut out that chunk of plastic that holds the LED into the top part of a cherry switch "case".  So that allows you to keep the stock "case" (switch enclosure) that you started with.

But that is so tedious and I can't imagine it would be very clean or consistent, and is hardly comparable to buying a custom top.

That doesn't appear to be the fault of the GB organizer but the US distributor from what I've seen.

True but the organizer isn't doing anything to help in the process.

what does the switch look like with the 'removable-without-removing-LED' feature?

The part around the led would simply not be there.

What exactly can they do?  They don't have extras (or enough extras) and I doubt their talking to the proxy will be any more effective than the people who haven't gotten theirs yet.

I'm in for a couple of straight clear sets (non-colored).

Aluminum top plate, white PCB, clear switch tops and clear key caps on my ErgoDoxen... yummmmmmm

The GB organizer is still responsible when people have paid and there items are not shipped.

So your saying if you run a GB a group buy and have someone help with shipping and they don't shop or just don't respond the people who have purchased are SOL?

I'm saying that they can't force the proxy to ship it.  I don't know that anyone has contacted the group buy organizer yet to see if they can find some kind of solution, so I can only comment that they don't have any extras based on what they've said in the past and that they can't get the proxy to ship any more than the people who participated and are waiting on shipment.

I would still love red cover tops and clear. If they come out eventually I would also love some green.
