It's an open source plate, others have expressed interest in making an ortho plate and PCB for it. It very might be a possibility for you to mod it.

Hey everyone,

Just want to touch on a few questions that keep coming up related to availability and price. I know everyone hates waiting. We are still working out the final details, comparing multiple manufacturers, and calculating what type of quantity run we feel comfortable executing.

Our main goal is to deliver a high quality, premium keyboard in a timely fashion with as few hiccups as possible (easier said than done). What this means is that the first run will likely remain small, and because of this and our choices to work with manufacturers who are known for their high-quality work, the prices will reflect that. We aren't building to meet a price point, but rather building what we feel will be an amazing keyboard and then pricing accordingly.

Once everything behind the scenes is worked out, prototypes are ordered and contracts are signed, I'll be posting the details well in advance. Expect at least a 4-6 week notice before the GB officially begins.

I appreciate that you're allowing a 4-6 weeks of notice, as it allows for saving and such. It's always a let down when a product goes from IC to GB without a period of notice.... Well i guess i'm now gonna start saving for one of those FE editions...

The FE looks absolutely stunning. By far the classiest keyboard I have ever seen. I have been staring at the pictures literally every day for the last week. If I can afford it then I am absolutely in for this GB.

To have an original IC post, and another one concerning the updates, to things seperated, that way people who come here once in a while to see the advancement of the project can easily take a glance at it instead of searching through a mountain of renders in the OP

Yes, to clarify, there is room between the plate and PCB for some cut foam. There isn't really any space between the PCB and the base for more foam.
