Hey guys!
For a year or so now I've been promising a few community members I'd get some wrist rests to a proxy in the US so I can get some of these to you awesome Americans.
If you are in Canada or Europe and want one of these you can enter, but postage WILL be more expensive. This sale is mainly aimed at getting some of these on some US desks, but feel free to enter. If you live in Australia or South East Asia, I'll aim to have a sale for you guys on my website sometime. These take me AAAAGES to make so won't be super soon.
All wrist rests are made from reclaimed scrap wood, Jarrah and Marri are Australian hard woods.
They are hand finished and sealed with a high quality wax. They will age and wear with the oils from your skin. I feel this gives them more charm. If you want a high gloss shiny wrist rest these aren't for you. These have a more natural feel.

It'll be a raffle, but I'll let people select as many caps as they want in preference. As each cap is different I feel it's only fair. There will be a limit each person can win but you'll be able to nominate for many caps. I'll just slowly work my way through the nominations.
I'll also let people nominate a style, so if you want a Volkeyno, you can put your top preference in style, then just "Any Volkeyno" and I'll put aside whatever is left for you.

Yeah I kind of went nuts with my sculpts. I'll probably whittle them down for my next sale. But I've really enjoyed making a variety of caps this time round :)

Gaming sets are still only OEM this sale. An absolutely awesome guy (cottonsox!) sent me a bunch of Cherry MX blanks so my next sale will have cherry profile gaming sets along with the OEM.
Still no topre gaming sets, but I'm hoping to purchase a topre board soon, and if I do I will get a bunch of blank caps and definitely aim to produce a gaming kit or two in topre. I'm still pretty new to this so I've got to take it slowly with my catalog, can't afford to grab everything at once, Kids come first :D

Yeah some are along similar lines, pattern wise, some are pretty out of left field too. The old sets were taken from my Ducky Shine 5 stock caps, they were a little textured, but only as much as the masters were. The big problem I ran into with them was that even though the double shots felt flat, with a raking light you could still see the legends on my gaming kits, ever so faintly. To combat this I had to move to other blanks that my mate lent me, they are thick PBT so they are really nice and solid, but they are not really very texutred. They feel very different from other keys, so I personally quite like them, because even though you can still feel the difference, it doesn't really get in the way of the overall feel of the keyboard when typing. I kind of wanted to stay away from putting a designed texture on them, because many artisans have done that in the past and I didn't want to step on any toes.
Also I personally quite like the slight difference in the feel, before I made my own kits I had aluminium gaming keys on my board, and so I'm used to homing my fingers on a slightly different feeling key.
Also now my gaming kits will include 8 keys, so you can either put them on WASD or MOBA binds, the last sets were limited to MOBA as you only had two r3, now you get 3 :)

Yes on all accounts. I love the mosaic designs. I actually stumbled across them just before the sale. The multi shots (most are quad shots) I feel work really well with my simple sculpts. I think I'm only going to work in 4 or more shots from now on. I'm actually looking at drawing things with the resin in the caps, the backspace at the bottom of the reference picture was my first attempt at a city scape. Didn't quite work as planned, but I like it anyway, looks like an alien landscape :)
After my first sale I really wanted to practice sculpting as I feel that's my weakest area right now, so I went kind of nuts trying all different things, I'm going to whittle down my designs considerably now, just pick 3 and refine them. I wasn't really sure what would work on or not until I cast them in resin, because I personally feel the colour restrictions resin brings is what makes artisans so special. My blanks will probably still be as random, but I'm aiming to have only 3 sculpts on the go from now on. I'll update my thread on the ones I choose when I do :)
I'll be back to sorting all the invoices again tonight as soon as the kids are asleep, going to be a late night, but I don't think I'm going to sleep until all invoices are out, so might be a late one for me!

Just spent the evening sorting through entries and bagging up lots for winners. Getting through it slowly but steadily. Looking like I should have most, if not all, of the invoices sent out tomorrow night before bed.
Thanks to everyone who entered, and to all those who left great comments, makes my lonely night of sorting a little more fun :)
Cheers guys, I'll keep post again tomorrow night when I'm done with progress.
A lot of these designs are super cool, especially the mosaic style ones. Do you have any favorites? Have you thought about slimming down the selection and focusing on making more of a single design? Would love to see those mosaic style caps return for the next sale as well :)

Yes on all accounts. I love the mosaic designs. I actually stumbled across them just before the sale. The multi shots (most are quad shots) I feel work really well with my simple sculpts. I think I'm only going to work in 4 or more shots from now on. I'm actually looking at drawing things with the resin in the caps, the backspace at the bottom of the reference picture was my first attempt at a city scape. Didn't quite work as planned, but I like it anyway, looks like an alien landscape :)
After my first sale I really wanted to practice sculpting as I feel that's my weakest area right now, so I went kind of nuts trying all different things, I'm going to whittle down my designs considerably now, just pick 3 and refine them. I wasn't really sure what would work on or not until I cast them in resin, because I personally feel the colour restrictions resin brings is what makes artisans so special. My blanks will probably still be as random, but I'm aiming to have only 3 sculpts on the go from now on. I'll update my thread on the ones I choose when I do :)
I'll be back to sorting all the invoices again tonight as soon as the kids are asleep, going to be a late night, but I don't think I'm going to sleep until all invoices are out, so might be a late one for me!
You definitely deserve all the praise you receive. I am happy that I won one of the ones I was looking at. Please keep the Volkeynoes around, because I have yet to win one. :D GMKa4 you're mine!
Can't wait for this to show up! Will go nicely with my black on black and colorful ESC's.

I think everyone is just to used to tracking since CONUS packages include tracking. I think stating you are located in Australia (didn't know until 2 seconds ago) will help everyone understand that tracking isn't included. I'm in Canada so I never expect tracking and just wait patiently.

i'm in aus too and i can understand exactly what he says, the prices get very high when shipping which tracking number.

Shugix that's a good point! I stated AGES ago that I'm Australian and just assumed everyone knew that, I'll make sure I make it more evident in my next sale.

Woo, my caps came in as well! The Volkeyno I got is a bit more orange than I thought from the photo (looked red to me!) but that's fine, I think it contrasts well with the Granite Enter. Thanks Coz!

Definitely more in the future. That said the ones offered in this sale will always be limited to 6 units. Some colourways only had 2 or 3 caps in this sale, they may pop up again in the future, but I'm not sure. See how it goes.

anyways my favorite game of all time is Shadow of the Colossus.
Everything about that game was perfect imo. I have very fond memories of it playing alone in my room totally immersed while shooting fruits off of trees and collecting lizard tails.

Throughout all time I think my favorite game would have to be The Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past. The story is fantastic and I really enjoyed beating it MANY times. Recently my favorite game is World of Warcraft because I'm able to play with friends and only raid two nights a week. It hasn't completely devoured my time/life like in years past and I feel I'm still getting what I need done without falling behind people playing 12 hours a day.

That was just an example. Here is a better thought-out idea: The cap is a face with a helmet. Maybe it's normally silver or black. And then when you touch it more, the helmet gets red (blood!).

Hey mate!! Thanks for the support.. Funny you say that.. almost all of my sculpts I've been casting lately have had thermochromatic elements... eyes, or top shots what ever... I make up the resin for the gaming kits then use the excess in sculpts.. A lot of my growlers have thermochromatic eyes (both in the giveaway do) lots of my Mo Caps I just sold for charity do too.
The only reason I don't advertise it, as stated by kominyetska, they do not activate through natural keyboard use.. you have to actively activate them, so I don't feel like I can rightly use that for a selling point if it's not being activated by general use, if you get me? It's like my GiD caps.. they are GiD.. but I don't sell them as such.. people can discover it themselves.. I want people to like the caps without having to take them into a dark room.
The gaming kits (I am pretty sure and hoping fervently) will activate from just playing games... so I am actually advertising that element of the cap.

At 39 weeks, definitely agree with the fawning over newborns thing - prefer cats right now, as they don't cause nausea and soreness, and generally prefer kids to newborns. Hopefully that changes in the coming weeks or we are screwed lol.

Neither me nor my wife immediately loved our first born but now he's so loved it's ridiculous.. I think a lot of new parents really worry if they don't immediately love their kids.. It just compounds the stress.. Don't worry the love will come...

Hahhaa typical hey! Did you not get an email informing you the order was fulfilled? Squarespace told me it sent emails out as I marked the orders fulfilled. Pretty much I send them out the next work day on a rule. So Monday if ordered over a weekend. The ones ordered this weekend are going out today as I had no internet all day yesterday so couldn't access orders on my site. Was maddening.Ya know I believe I got a message when I bought the cap and that's it. It is possible though that I glanced over the fulfillment email though. Anyhow thanks dude love the caps.

Really wanted that Purple Nebula but its Topre :(
Funnily enough the two shots on the purple nebula are exactly the same as the bottom two on the purple thrice, but the effect changes quite a lot with the dark purple shot on the top. I'm really enjoying combining different shades of the same colour in a cap, so there might be more in future ;)

Got mine, but have not been able to take pictures. The small details on the no escape is amazing. Wish I had a proper macro lens to capture all the details.
So glad you like it man! That cap was a long process but really enjoyed sculpting (and carving) it. Great pics too! It's awesome seeing a collection of my caps. Idlekey is retired now man, no more being made :(
