Hey Guys

Any interest in something like this? I am not interested in feedback that involves reducing the size of the board.

Three piece construction
Gasket mounted 4.5mm plate, brass

Options for brass being investigated but don't expect a full brass unit to be an option due to the insanely high cost of brass for this.

Colours will be dependent on the options available at the manufacturer, I'll be getting all pieces for the sale as prototypes for product shots before any sale.

Targeting around the 1500-2000 USD price point, depending on materials and price from china, so far I've had my prototypes manufactured in Australia but at the moment probably not looking to proceed with AU manufacture for a wide variety of reasons. If I can get it lower I will but expect it to cost a mint because it's enormous. The all aluminium unit here unbuilt is about 9-10kg

Mounting Style: Currently gasket with 4.5mm plate is the only option, I might look into other options but this is pretty easy to put in there

Colours, at the moment I'm taking a look and seeing what I can get, depends on manufacturer, expect the GB to have pictures of the boards in the colours that are available because I prefer to not do renders if at all possible, except for keycaps because I can't get those made as a prototype.

Depends on material cost, as I'm planning to china it it should be possible

The group buy will be unlimited. so you can theoretically buy as many as you want, also no limit on extra plates and PCBs

I'm not gonna increase the angle, mostly because the stock pieces are already 45mm thick and weigh 20kg each for aluminium and 60kg for brass, also because that wouldn't be a typing angle I like to type on to be honest.

And yeah, the numpad is scuffed, I just quickly tossed it together after receiving it, will do a proper build when I get all the proper pieces together haha.

Really interested, I like it a lot!
Price is a problem though, Hope it will be 1.5 tops.

+1 on the 10u spacebar support.
+1 on the all brass SE.

Also a lot of details are missing about colors, plates etc.. so there is something to look out for. :)

I wish you have this in acrylic as a starter cheaper kit so that more people can enjoy it. This price point will scare away many interested people like me

Yeah, more details to come, essentially it's a very simple board with only three pieces, and gaskets, 4.5mm brass plate etc.

Unfortunately increasing the size of the board isn't really feasible as I'm running up against PCB fabrication limits and I don't want to do split PCBs

As I said, I'm investigating bringing the price down, I'll also take a look into an acryllic option but at the same time the amount of acryllic you'd need would make even that quite expensive. I'll see what I can do for cheap option.

This is without a doubt the most extra board I've seen. I laughed when I saw comments about a potential brass variant, also am I reading that right?! 60kg for an all-brass boi? 4.5mm plate?! Outstanding that this board can even exist.

Im having a similar custom KB made, but with 1 row above the Frow instead of 3 rows.
And no arrow keys on the left.

One tip, I'm having it made in plastic first. Even with per key RGB and stabs preinstalled, it makes it a lot cheaper because of the plastic.
