First edition books by my favorite authors.  The ones I can afford, anyway, first-edition Tolkien novels are worth more than my car.

Mostly electronic, but there are some other pieces in there (Nine Inch Nails, Joy Division, My Bloody Valentine).

I did collect lasers but I'm sort of getting out of that hobby, although I don't regret any of the lasers I bought. I had a 30mW 532nm, 120mW 638nm, 1mW 532nm and a 150mW (approx) 405nm.

Now I want to collect keyboards. So far I've got a Microsoft 800 Wireless Keyboard, a waterproof, "soft" keyboard which cost me about $5 from the supermarket and the CM board featured in my signature :P

I thought you fullas over the ditch weren't allowed to play with lasers because idiots kept shining them at planes during takeoff and landing?

I collect cutlery, plates and knives.

Table tennis blades and rubbers; not going to post everything, but here's my main setup:

The rules state that one side must be red and the other black, but if you use a "hardbat" (the old-style rubber with pips shown here), it can be any color.  There are very few hardbat users in rated tournaments, like mechanical keyboards to rubber domes.

And I have a small collection of weapons I designed; not going to post everything, but here's my mace:

thanks............. :)

I hope i don't get into fountain pens. I have a limited edition lamy and I'm good with that LOL

lamy`s are great fountain pens- steel nibs but still write fine. the wider nibs are not as scratchy

i have a couple of their art pens

on the average..........the older fountain pens seem to write a bit more "wet" than modern or contemporary fountain pens, which write dryer

Interesting choice of paddle, I'm not as big into table tennis as I was in the past, but I've got a ton of paddles, (donic, butterfly, stiga, tibhar, a few chinese brands as well). But for now, all I collect is this:

[One Keyboard at a time]

My Heatware Please comment, and I will do the same =D

@Sifo: I almost got into Zippo tricks a few years ago! Didn't pan out mostly because I have a short attention span, and I was more of a chicken back then.

Collect seems like too strong of a word.. but I have some habits/hobbies that I do like to indulge in moreso than others (aside from expensive computer and recording equipment!). The standouts would be digital indie games and soundtracks, Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab perfumes, and tea / tea-making paraphernalia including my own tea plant.

I collect money...

I would LIKE to collect money ...
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Hah!  The US has twenty-seven different dollar coins, so there!   :p  24 different President dollars, two different Sacajawea dollars, and I'm pretty sure Susan B. Anthony dollars are still in circulation.

[And two-dollar bills, for that matter, I like to order them from the bank and use them for random purchases.]

Aren't there like, half dollar coins or something too?

I've got an old $2 Canadian bill saved. My favourite coin so far is the one pound coin, just love the weight and sound of it. Coins that baffle me the most: 1 and 2 cent Euro coins--so tiny!

Yeah, British pounds are quite heavy, when I was in Leeds and had some change in my pocket it felt like having ~10 euro worth of coins there :P

Well, I have kept some British pounds, Swedish crowns and Hungarian florins. It's not collecting of course but hey...

That makes me feel odd that people are collecting what is sitting on my desk.  :/

Why would it make you feel old? GBP is still one of the strongest currencies in the world lol.

I said odd not old lol :D

LOL **** my bad :P

This is a keyboard forum, but some of us are hoarders at heart! Post pictures of stuff you collect!

Keyboard wise I have my LZ-S and GON NS 87... 6 keychains, and you've all seen my keycaps and stuff. My keyboard collection really isn't as huge as I'd like it to be.

Zippos: I've been collecting Zippos for 2-3 years now? I can do tricks with them and I like to play with them whenever I'm bored, and I love working out my fingers.

Gunnar Optiks: I wear these, prescribed, I get them for free. I have 3 pairs. There are pictures of me wearing the blue ones.

Show Image

TechKeys business cards: I don't have many, especially not duplicates. I am missing the GOLD one (ironic that I'd be searching for the #GOLD one?)

Show Image

Lapel Pins: I grab these everytime I go travelling, it started when I was young and travelled the east side of Canada. The shirt happens to be one of the ones I wore during said trip.

Guild Wars: Big fan of this game. See for yourself.

Reading these quotes it sounds like a few people need (better) glasses ;) :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
