Help on building a custom alps brutal60 ISO/DE plate
« on: Sun, 17 October 2021, 18:51:17 »
Hello everyone,

first of all this is my first post on GH so I apologize for any formatting atrocities I might commit or if this is posted in the wrong place please let me know, I'll move it.

Anyhow, I'm going to be building a WKL Brutal 60 with SKCL Green Alps and I need some help on getting a plate in working order. I'm going to be using the KeebMeUp Alps 60% PCB, which supports the layout I'm going for. Speaking of layout, I'm going ISO for my first alps build. I'll be using the caps/stabs from an ACER 6312-k keyboard.

First, please let me know if this is a good idea or any build sanity check/criticism is appreciated.
Second, someone from the cannonkeys discord was kind enough to throw together a mock plate file for me, but this person is unsure whether the tolerances, fitment, and placements are correct. Would anyone be willing to give me some pointers on the plate file? If I can avoid the time and money of getting it cut multiple times that would be great.

Here is the link to the brutal60 plate file and the alps plate file I have so far:
