Hope the honesty about cilantro can't hurt ;)

I don't know if I would say it tastes like soap to me, but I am not a fan at all. Golemfish/Fire Guppy RNG gods send help please.

I hear that genetically it tastes like soap to some people, those poor people :(

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/14/dining/14curious.html?_r=0

now i need to ask my friend if cilantro tastes like soap or lotion to him.  this would mean i can't make fun of him any more for being a picky eater.

ps.  etf, cilantro-themed fugu please

I hope so, you can tell your friend it's thanks to a diety you can't bug him.....as much anyway :p

That is genetic. The "soap" smell that people have when they smell cilantro and therefore dislike it is tied to their genetics. I personally love cilantro.

It's just a random question. Can't remember what sale thread it was on, but someone recently added a question about favorite ice cream flavor. Maybe someone else will chime in here and post the link for me.

hate Cilantro....

it's like an instinct-kind of natural rejection for me...

when some dishes come with Cilantro in them, even a slightest leaf in it can instantly trigger my cilantro detection alarm...

Cilantro is one of those things that I love but I always forget the name of. At this point I should just add a note in my phone that says "It's called cilantro"

I love cilantro, personally. I grew up with it in many dishes, and that paired with diced onions is the only way I eat tacos.

  • Fresh cilantro makes everything taste horrible. It consumes the dish with its pure evil.
  • Dried cilantro as a spice makes everything taste fantastic! It gently hugs the dish with pure love.

So do I like it or not then?

Hard to say with certainty as there are a lot of entries to go through. But shooting to start invoicing Thursday evening at the earliest.
