Congratulations.. I guess you will be selling all your other boards now as you wont be needing them ever again .

That keyboard looks fantastic Rowdy!  I'm so glad you got it!

I'm glad I was able to help out, and that it arrived safely.

Thanks guys!  Keeping all my other though, with plans for just one, maybe two more.

It's wearing a Clack now :)

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

How yellow is that, actually? Is it as yellow as billnye's capslock? :P :P :P

I have one, and its yellow af...

I used a potato cam. It's actually as beige as beige can be.
This is about as accurate as I can get:

I lied.

not a fair comparison, bilnyes caps lock was from the bumblebee set so it had a headstart at being yellow, that may have only had like 15 years

I'm guessing there's no white balance setting to compensate for the yellow added by indoor light.  Is this a little more accurate?

Nevermind, started the photo edit before your edit.

Looks great! I was thinking it would match the Triumph Adler scheme, but maybe it's a bit off (maybe I've been thinking about that set too much lately as well...)

People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

I'm waiting for the caps to finish drying from the cleaning, but I wanted to post some preliminary shots of my mystery board.  I got this in yesterday.  I was fairly sure I knew the switch, but not 100% until I popped that cap and confirmed it.

Crappy eBay pic of the board:

Now for the guts.  Since I could clean the board without soaking it in water, I can get pics.

Obligatory PCB shot:

And the reveal:

I guessed right, Fujitsu Leaf Spring.  These happen to be the Clicky Second Gen switches.  I'm probably going to try and get a Soarer's mod going on it and then list it since it's too light and way too loud for me.  If you like clicky switches, this is crazy clicky, but with a fairly small tactile bump to it toward the bottom of the switch.

That's a heck of a way to start a Reaper collection!
