The cable matching the legends is a nice touch :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I snuck my way into the buy midway through by taking over someone's order.  Initially skipped out on the buy because I *had* the OG Miami/Odessa set...until I lost the 'Z' key...  :| :| :| :| :|

As for getting it now?  Honestly, not sure how likely it'll be.  I don't know how many people got the set from the buy, but I can't imagine it's a whole lot.

Hmm.  Did you "weather" the F5-F8 caps, or are you the individual that made that custom order?  The public sale for Checkeys was only for gold and silver unless I'm mistaken, and you seem to have a darker grey color.  :O

Either way, that board is awesome.  :D

The darker ones are sick, never seen them before.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.
