It very much is, I keep having difficulty getting the color accurate on my photos as well. Nice pic though! :thumb:
If you just google the triumph adler keycaps you get a million different shades lol

Yeah that's pretty funny, the set definitely doesn't replicate the original version but I still like it. I feel like a broken record saying this but the light bleed is what kills me the most.

Yeah I have been thinking about that. I might try to get some black latex paint and coat the inside of the keycaps and see what happens. It should go on thin enough to not matter and will peel off when/if I don't want it.

Yeah I was thinking of possibly trying that as well, I saw a fix another user did with aluminum tape. It increased the black lighting of the board but stopped the light from bleeding through the caps, and not a permanent fix either. https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=66567.0

Yeah I saw that. Seem like more work than paint so I might try that first, not sure. :)

God I really want to get a Kpad someday. They look so damn nice, I just can't justify such an expensive keypad when I never use them

Looking really nice jokrik, I really need to get my hands on an 1800 board. I've never tried blacks either, curious to try them out on a steel plate.

It gives you a bit of thock with the steel

That's the longest time I've ever put in modifying switches, it was so dirty that I've to cotton bud it one by one, each part of the switch with isopropyl,

And I put tons of minutes lubing it to buttery perfection

So worth it

Hard work pays off, that will definitely be super enjoyable to type on. I'll have to give lubed vintage blacks a go myself, one of these times. :p

B/G Jane and TA. This is an absolutely filthy combination. I'm blown away.

BTW I didn't realize the front of the Jane's frame was so reflective.

Thank you very much for the compliments. :)

The case is pretty reflective but I think the lighting and the copper table itself had a lot to do with it.

Thank you very much filphil, your compliments are always very respected. I think I'm finally starting to produce better shots now, took a little bit of time but practice makes perfect. That is actually just a copper table at my house that patinated rather well.

This one is great! The background and the colors are awesome.

I like this shot here, even if there is nothing really there and a lot of grain. Actually I like grain and moody pictures, I should definitely do some analog keyboard pictures sometimes. I even have a scanner, not that bad, a Reflecta 7200. The time consuming scanning and editing and developing the film (not me doing it but going to a shop) always holds me off starting some action. I remember when we were 4 weeks in the USA on holidays in California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona on the 3rd day the DSLR broke and was not working anymore and I bought about 30 film rolls, which I scanned then several months later.  After I was finished I *hated* scanning film rolls. Especially positives, negatives are OK and easy to work with. For positives I would need a much better scanner.

What's really cool about your picture is how easy it is to see how thin your depth of field was.

Hopefully there will be more TGR projects to come so more people can get their hands on some. I will say though that I have received a surprising amount of offers for it already, not sure if I'll want to let it go.

Hopefully there will be more TGR projects to come so more people can get their hands on some. I will say though that I have received a surprising amount of offers for it already, not sure if I'll want to let it go.

I wouldn't! It's a dream board. What switches do you have in it?

I wanted to try something new so I put some old/vintage Browns in them. They're aren't g80-5000 vintage but pre-92 from a g80-11801 so they're much better than new ones. I also swapped the tops with clear Gateron tops for light diffusion and as an added bonus it made it a little smoother.

Wow, that's the best looking Carbon board I've seen so far. I think that this + grey arrows would be awesome.

Wow that looks great :) did you have to mod the spacebar or is that not a problem anymore?

I believe the 2015 models took care of that issue.

Dolch Leeku 1800 by Hanshen, on Flickr

Not yet done, there will be more mods to the keyboard specifically made for a certain upcoming keyset :)

So worth it

Wow Hanshen, I love your photostream.  So many amazing food, keyboard, and even baby pics.  It makes me want to come visit and see your beautiful world in person :-)

Family picture :D

Ah, looks like you got your new camera, congrats bro!  You're already making some really great photos!  Is that the figure you bought at the record store?
