Not the best pictures, but the stump keycap i won on sifo's holiday giveaway is here, and i think it will go good on my red backlit board. (Attachment Link) (Attachment Link)

HDR with a translucent keycap is interesting

Thanks, it wasn't factory new, the paint on it stock wasn't very good quality and scratched a little bit in some areas so I decided to strip it back and refinish it

I NEED better lighting. And a new lens. Currently my lens is a little broken (condition it was when I was given it) so I have to hold it up with one hand to focus the shot.

Doesn't help that this board is incredibly hard to get a shot where it shows it's colours. Had to go under direct sunlight for this one. Might try a few more tomorrow

Haha I try to constantly keep up with it and clean it but god damn does it get annoying taking the caps off constantly. I think a lot of it is just the brushed look of the plate but there is always a need for cleaning.

Love that backplate! Would love to see how it looks on a full build. I'm guessing it was heat treated with a torch? Great idea! I have a couple old vape mods I did that to. It needs to be stainless steel or titanium to work though.

Yeap, swapped out the switches for some Zealios. The person who built it before *cough* seth *cough* did a terrible job. I got it with two pads for the switches ripped off, managed to get it working without needing to wire anything though. :thumb:

I've been wanting a titanium grey KMAC for the longest time, I'm so jealous just looking at this haha.

Only two pads is pretty good for my standards :p

I love putting together keyboards but swapping switches(desoldering anything really) is a nightmare for me. I've only done it once and pretty much ruined the pcb I was working with :))

Haha then you have to buy more boards to practice on. :p

I still have a Pok3r to desolder and lube + replace the springs for another user so far. New rework station is getting some good use. :D

Thanks but I don't think the picture is all that good, I took it rather quick to send to just upload it to my assembly service thread.

I like this picture but still not all that good.

Thanks :) Something I've been tinkering with for the past few months, really want to flesh it out into a full keyboard with pcb and a case... but my god it's so much work haha

It was my first custom metal keybaoard, I got it second hand from a user on /r/mechmarket and it's built like a tank. It is a prototype though so it does have a few defects in the machining. Still love it though  :thumb:
