For me it depends on the situation, in bad weather/water conditions bass can be a pain. Pike in the UP aren't that bad but finding walleye is always a pain for me (I catch more when I'm not looking for them ) ).

That if something, requires skill. Pike is just as easy as fishing bass, at least where I live. Plus pike is only edible by cats
